All things dealing with Skepticism: Michael Shermer, James Randi, Richard Dawkins.
I got into anime in middle School. My friend's older brother collected the Robotech VHS and introduced me to such titles as "Burn Up" "Bubblegum Crisis" "Mermaid Scar" and "Kimagure Orange Road." This was 1990/1991/1992. My father actually bought me the VHS boxed set of Urotsuki Douji for my 12th birthday, needless to say, I was the talk of the Middle school for a while.
[Then for a full decade, I did other shit. Graduated Highschool; got an Associates Degree. Dedicated myself to a vegan lifestyle.]
In late 2004, my friend Jacob introuced me to the Nartuo anime.
In early 2005, I met my friend Eddie Kerns and he started our college's anime club. The first semester was just Eddie, our teacher advisor Fred Steffy and myself--we watched Berzerk.
Anime Expo 2005 was my first anime convention; I loved it, and have been going to as many as I could since. I officially got back into anime.
Now, I do what I can to present panels at conventions and such.
