Brief summery: Horror, psychological thrillers, sci-fi, fantasy, especially Steampunk and Cyberpunk stuff. And old kids' movies! (70s to early 90s.)

Summary: I vastly prefer Industrial Rock, Electro, Goth Rock, Big Band Jazz and Movie/Anime/Game Soundtracks. I hate country, rap, and metal. (There IS a difference between rock and metal.)

Favorites: Nine Inch Nails, Black Light Burns, The Birthday Massacre, Dr. Steel, SOME Skinny Puppy, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Mindless Self Indulgence, VAST, Eisbrecher, SOME Rammstein, The Retrosic, Crossbreed, Porcelain and the Tramps, etcetc...

Soundtrack Favorites: Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Thomas Newman, Joe Hisaishi, and Hirano Yoshihisa. (Short compared to above!)

My name's Doran, but people usually just shorten it to D. I'm a 20 year old hermit from Houston.

I'm in college, majoring in theatre and education -- but I'm more interested in education than theatre, to be honest. I grew up with incompetent teachers, and the very few good ones that made class fun always stand out in my mind now. I want to be that. The fun teacher that kids remember. (GTO/Gokusen, anyone?)

As far as theatre goes, I'm all about the costuming and makeup, but that carries over into my non-theatre hobbies as well. (Obviously.)

Boring stuff.

People who have no concern/respect for others. People who have no concern/respect for themselves. People with no life, and/or no goals. Substance abusers and low-lifes. Closed-minded folk. People who like to force their opinions on others.

So basically... Stupidity.

Intelligence, common sense, ambition, people who can have a lot of fun but also be serious when needed, a sense of humor.

Also, people who like cats more than dogs. :D
