I'm twenty-two, a college student and part-time employee at the local newspaper, my favorite job ever and I think one of the best ones I could have landed at this point in time. My dreams shift between writing and costume design, my two most intimate passions in life. Despite having a lot of things in line I'm usually overworked, overstressed, and that person you'll meet in rush hour traffic trying to talk on their cell phone, eat lunch, and balance their checkbook all at once - while driving a too-large vehicle (I have a truck, a source of infinite amusement).

I started cosplaying in 2004 as an outlet, with my first convention being Animazement in Durham, NC. Since then I've spread out regionally to conventions in this immediate east coast area of Virginia, North Carolina, and D.C. In late summer I will be attending Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA for the first time - something I'm ridiculously excited about because I've been wanting to go to D*C since before I was into anime conventions.

At heart my geekdom lies more with fantasy and sci-fi than anime. While I think mecha blowing up things in space are pretty awesome, I can also geek out about TIE Fighters vs. X-Wings and what my favorite class of ship was on Star Trek. Just fair warning, you know.
