Hi, I'm Gale. You may know me from cosplay.com or the few conventions I frequent (most notably Connecticon). I'm a 20-year-old theater major from New England and I've been cosplaying at conventions since I was 16. It is my dream to one day be an actress on Broadway, though my back-up plan is to become a theatrical costumer.
As a cosplayer I am blessed to have very supportive parents who go so far as to even help me. This year my dad made me Yuna's rod and my mom has been the one teaching me to sew ever since I began this hobby. It was she who suggested that I plan on becoming a costumer some day in case acting doesn't work out for me. I think its a great idea. I have always loved costumes. I can remember almost every one I've ever worn on Halloween, practically in order. Feel free to quiz me on it if you ever meet me ;)
I have been attending Connecticon annually since it began in 2003, and have participated in the costume contest since 2004 and the Cosplay Muscial since its inception in 2006. Other conventions I occasionally attend include I-Con, where in 2004 I met Jewel Staite who played Kaylee in Firefly, ConBust, and Anime Boston which in 2007 fell on my 20th birthday!
I love kitty cats and have an adorable less than a year old black female named Luna. Yes, I'm that much of a nerd :p
I have a wonderful, amazing, perfect-for-me boyfriend who, though he never bothered to fill in his profile, you all may know as CloudTheStampeed. We cosplay together, most often as Cloud and Aeris, and are generally sickeningly cute according to our friends.
I only friend people who are actually MY FRIENDS. So, if you don't already know me somehow, you aren't going to make my friends list. Sorry, but it is a FRIENDS list, after all.
Please, check out my website!
Biiiiig hearts to Soni, my web host :D
Thanks to everyone who participated in, attended, and supported the Connecticon Cosplay Musical! WE GOT MAIN EVENTS FOR NEXT YEAR! I'll post links once its on youtube.
TURN OFF'S
smoking, excessive drunkenness, bad personal hygiene, lack of confidence, looking like my creepy ex, being too clingy/needy, and most of all: guilt trips (I had more than enough of those with my obsessive ex-turned-stalker, thank-you-very-much)
TURN ON'S
good singing (especially tenor), ballroom dancing (especially if the guy knows how to lead), good personal hygiene, knows or is learning how to sew (yay for guys who disregard gender stereotypes!), accents (specifically British or Irish), sense of humor, confidence, fan of Firefly/Sernity :D
