The purpose of con-X-treme is to capture animation’s vitality and magic, then share it with the public. con-X-treme promotes the creation of animation, 3D modeling, video, digital art, manga and all other forms of media communication. We supply a stimulating learning environment for our attendees to explore the animation industry and create their own works. Animation created in our computer labs can consist of a series of still photos, computer-generated graphics, video, or any combination. Being surrounded by like-minded people and involved in the creation process, attendees will gain a higher degree of self-expression and awareness of the creative community where each of us has the power to influence.
The ability to use commercial applications for animated presentations is becoming more important. Web-based interactivity, instructional sequences and presentation videos are just a few cases where animation skills are highly desirable. The production of 3D imagery and animated interactive characters are also in high-demand.
To address these growing market needs, all attendees have the chance to learn within six Connect meeting rooms, equipped with wall-mounted 52 inch plasma monitors and computers provided by the convention staff. After hands-on experience with the tools and guidance from our instructors, only a lack of imagination of the attendee can hold him or her back. Our invited professionals can teach the most sophisticated tools and help guide attendees through the creative process. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are considering work in the animation, visual effects, graphic communications and multimedia industries.
