Broken Butterfly Part One
From my best it was the beginning of 2014 A.D. The skies were covered in ash and smoke, and the air grew thick. Many people died quickly, but I knew there had to be some others out there. I've liked this world but over time from not seeing a human face makes you seek. Even though I wasn't human myself, I was curious to find someone. I left my underground base and headed West. It seem miles and hours before I senced life. I couldn't tell if it was night or day. I saw a glow of light from the mountain side and I continued forward. It seemed like a old English town at night. Only lanterns lit the streets. I also noticed that the air was thinner here.
I started to walk down the dark roads in the town. Most of the buildings seemed too quiet. I started to hear music and voices. Like a bar. Which is what I found a few feet down the road. I continued to the bar and I noticed a man sitting outside the front door covering his face in a hooded sweater. He seemed like a drunk from any time, quiet and looking for a place to stay. Aren't we all.
I entered the bar and sat far away from the door. I was thinking I wouldn't be noticed if I was quiet. That was far from truth. All the eyes in the room were glued to me like a goth in a church. The smell was terrible and the bar looked worse than outside. The bartender walked over and handed me a bottle of wine. "We don't have much today, but you are welcome to what we have." the bartender told me. I just smiled and downed the bottle and tossed it to the wall. The smash of the bottle caused a stir in the locals and I could see anger in their eyes. Most stood up right away. Heh...... I wonder if they will try something.
It's hard to believe I have resorted to a bar fight for entertainment. The smell alone irritated my sences. My glasses semmed dirty as well. I still saw the overworked bartender reach under the counter. Most likely for a gun. Now that most of people came closer to me I noticed a lonely female staring at me from the other corner of the room. Most of her face was covered by a hoody, but she should be last on my mind. Two of the bigger members of the crowd stepped forward. "You have a lot of nerve to come in here and leave a mess first thing" The darker large one said. I smiled and stood up.
"It matches the rest of this stink hole" I responded back. The dark colored one pulled back his fist for a hard swing and I through mine faster. I hit him in the lower ribs on the left side. His large body fell before his fist drove past me. The other large one came forward seconds after. I extended my palm to his adam's apple and he remained still. "I don't intend to kill any of you. Your kind is no longer any fun" I told them. The bartender lifted his Remington 870 shotgun torwards my face. My head turned as I dropped the large man. I walked closer to the barrel and placed my right elbow on the bar table. My shades became so dirty I couldn't bare it and took them off. The bartender dropped the gun the moment he saw my eyes."The monster...." The bartender muttered.
I grabbed the bartender by the shirt and pulled the towel off his shoulder. I placed my shades in the dirty rag and wiped them clean.....er than before. The crowd was scattered all over the room. My little show scared them poopless. I stepped over tubby and headed out the doorway when I heard her.
"Wesker........"
I turned torward the voice that called out my name. The woman stood up from around the corner. She took down her hoodie and revealed her blonde hair. It was had to believe she followed me all this way. Then again I heard Deanna alway finds who she is looking for. I heard she had the same gifts as a woman named Aya Brea. This is the only person here that I should worry about here. She began to walk torward me as walked out. I got ten feet out the door and I heard her again. She was right behind me. "Wesker..... I take it. Those people are in need of help and all you seek is to piss them off" Deanna ranted. I turned torward her to reply. "You should know best that I could have done worse. These people are alive. They should be greatful" I replied to her.
Deanna grabbed Wesker's shoulder. "Look! We all need to survive here, and we need food and water. There is a warehouse that has canned goods and other things these people need. Will you at least come with me?" Deanna asked knowing that I was a little too dangerous. I smiled and dropped her hand from my shoulder. "What is in it for me?" I asked. Deanna put her hand through her hair pushing the ash off. "Name it?!" Deanna asked. I smiled. ".... can you make a pot of coffee?" I was without for months and when I don't have it I get moody. She smiled back at me and seemed a little confused. "Sure, I guess." Deanna replied.
We headed back in so I can claim my prize. The local's were still in shock from my little out burst. The bartender stayed a bit of distance from me. Deanna walked over and asked the bartender to make a pot of coffee. He started working on it, but his eyes never glanced off me. Deanna reached over and under the counter and pulled out a Glock 17 and a pouch of magazines. "You don't mind me with guns, do you?" Deanna asked. "If you can use them, I am fine." I responded. Suddenly a woman screamed from outside. Deanna stood up as well as the rest of the crew there. Deanna bolted out the moment she could. "......I still wanted my coffee!"
The bartender rushed out with his shotgun. He seemed all gun ho now that I wasn't a threat. Human's are so funny at times. I got up and walked behind the counter. The coffee was just starting and I have never missed a smell in my life, but if i did this would be one. I heard the gunfire start up. She seemed the type to take care of her own. Let's see how she could handle herself........ after the coffee.
Deanna ran torwards the scream. She looked back and saw a handful of the people at the bar followed her. No Wesker in sight. A second after she saw a wounded lady that looked in her early thirties run out from behind a building. The woman's body landed in Deanna's arms and she fell with her. She turned the woman over and held her wound on her chest. There was still a heart beat. One of the older men from the bar tore a peice of his shirt to cover the wound. Deanna turned torwards the man."Take care of her?" She asked. He nodded and she waited out side the building were the lady came out of. The bar tender finally made it. She turned torwards him. "One of those things are in there. I want you to wait here just in case it comes out" Deanna told him calmly. She entered the building as the others started taking the wounded girl to the bar.
Deanna walked in quietly. She heard the sound of meat being torn open again and again. She turned the corner and saw two men with scattered entrails all over the room. She covered her mouth as she witnessed the creature dig in. The creature seemed to be about seven feet tall, greenish grey skin, and thick bone constructed spikes along it's spine and forearms. She took a breath and continued torwards it with her glock pointed right at it. She stepped on a peice of glass from the recent encounter and made a cracking sound. The creature quickly saw her and came forward in a instant. She fired three rounds into its skull and had no effect. She dodged it's swiping claw. It's nails dug into a wooden door. She then continued to pummel it's face with bullets. Two hit it's neck and it's screamed and laid down bleeding from it's neck. She noticed her gun was empty and she reloaded a mag. When the slide chambered the round the creature stood up again. "Damn it!" Deanna yelled in a pissy mood now. The creature wasn't effected by the bullets. She began to concentrate on the bullets she through at it now. The bullets began to finally exit and consume the entrance and exit wounds with a flaming result. The creature fell to the ground lifeless and smoking. Deanna lowered her gun to the creature. She then heard a faint clap as I came out from behind her. She turned torward me as I continued to walk aside her. "I knew from your profile that you have gained Aya's power when she died. Why didn't you use it earlier?" I asked her. She began to shake her head. "It's hard to control most of the time. I only use it when I know I can't win with out it." Deanna told me even though she seemed almost scared. I walked over to the creature and placed my hands on either side of is head and thrusted right and a loud pop was heard. "Now.... let's talk about better weapons" I told her as I stood back up.
Deanna and I walk out of the building and the bartender was stunned. "Where did you come from?" The bartender asked me. I just continued back torwards the bar. Deanna stayed back talking to the bartender about what happened. I am surprized that they survived this long. I have read profiles on some creatures a group called Humitia. They were working on a creature that seemed a lot like the one I just saw, but one problem. They hunt in packs like wolves normally. "Maybe we got lucky and found a stray one." I told myself. I know they need a better weapon selection. I need to make a stop at my cavern, but I might need a ride. As I walked I noticed a old Jeep CJ5 on the side of the road. I checked it out and lifted the hood. Deanna walked up behind me. "It hasn't started in a year. I've already asked." Deanna told me. I looked at the air cleaner and rattled the dust off. "Any automotive cleaner anywhere or ether?" I asked Deanna. Deanna placed her hand over her chin as she thought. "Let's check the bar. Most of our supplies went there when the darkness happened." Deanna replied.
We continued to the bar. I heard the woman scream in pain as we entered. I noticed the two big guy's I met earlier were pissed and glared right at me as I walked in. Deanna went over to the girl as I walked in the back room. The bar ender followed me in. The moment I walked in I heard a rattle like someone was hiding in here. "What do you need?" the bartender asked me. He started to act like this area was forbidden. It's funny cause he thought I would give a damn. I turned the corner and saw a pair of blue eyes looking at me through the shelves. I turned the corner and saw a little girl. Her dress was dirty and she seemed a mess. The bartender came next to me. "I was hiding her cause I know what the others might do to her. Harsh times can make some people hurt others that are weaker. I didn't want her harmed." The bartender told me. "That was noble. What is her name?" I asked. She stood up and walked over to me. "My name is Sarah" She told me. I glanced behind her and saw a can off starting fluid. I reached over to get it and something heavy fell to the floor.
It was a old chrome Colt .45 single action revolver. I picked it up as well as the can of starting fluid. I put the starting fluid in my vest pocket. "I put the gun here for her in case I couldn't protect her." The bartender told me. The two big guy's barged in with a few other locals. "We have a problem Bart" The dark big guy told the bartender. Bart then remembered that he left his shotgun on the table. The other big guy pulled the shotgun out from behing him. "Deanna took the woman out of here into that Jeep. We are gonna use it to get the hell out of here, but you never told us where you keep the shells." The big guy started ranting. I was hidden from direct veiw, but I saw the dark one look at the little girl. For the first time in a long time I was disturbed by something. I knew these men haven't had a chance with any women for a long time. I turned torwards Bart and he nodded at me. I grabbed the girl and turned my back torwards the wall as I shoved my weight torwards the wall breaking it enough to get through it. Bart held them back for a moment or two beforeI heard the thunder of the shotgun and watched his body fly across the room. I heard Sarah call out his name several times as I put her over my shoulder.
Deanna was patching the woman up in the back of the CJ5. The older man from earlier was helping her as Deanna heard the shotgun blast. Deanna stepped away from the Jeep and looked torward the bar. Something was going on, but Wesker could take care of himself. The only thing running in her mind was that another creature has shown up. "What do you think it is?" The elderly man asked Deanna. Suddenly the sound of a little girl was getting closer and Wesker appeared from the shadows of the side of the bar. He was running very fast torwards Deanna with something over his shoulder. "Patrick.... get in the back with Lisa" Deanna told the elderly man. Wesker quickly placed the little girl in Deanna's arms. I quickly pulled out the can and started spraying on the carb. Deanna put the little girl in the passanger seat and she began to hear a crowd. She looked torward the bar and saw most of them coming for us. "Jesus! What the fudge did you do?" Deanna yelled. "No time to explain." I told her. I pulled out the Revolver and tossed it over to Deanna. "Give the Glock to the other guy. If you don't they will kill you." I told her. Deanna stared at me like I hurt one of those hillbilly retards. They shot off a shell torwards us. Deanna tossed the Glock to Patrick. I ran in the drivers seat and turned the key. It began slugish and then started up. "Get in!" I yelled out. Patrick started firing at random and Deanna hopped in the back. Another shot came closer to Deanna's face. Before I put it in gear I heard the long colt go off and the big guy with the shotgun fell lifeless. I pressed on the gas and began the ride with a little rough start, but gained speed in no time. We bagan the desent back to where I started. Deanna put her head right behind me. "Ok.....start explaining" Deanna asked in sarcasim.
I told Deanna all she needed to know. I noticed Sarah was quiet and her eyes were red from her sobbing earlier. I was guessing it would take four hours to make to my hideout, but it seemed we were being followed by something. It was large and was distant. No one else caught on to it, not even Deanna. My eyes stayed on this thing for about forty minutes and it disappeared. It happened quicker than I expected. The creature ran out in front of us causing the Jeep to spin and we hit the remains of a tree. When I raised my head from the steering wheel I noticed that Sarah must have been thrown out. Deanna was the first out of the Jeep. "What the hell just happened?" Deanna asked. I got out of the Jeep and when next to Deanna. "I don't know, but we lost Sarah." I told her. Deanna pulled the Colt of from the back of the Jeep. "I'll walk our tracks and hope she isn't hurt." Deanna told me. Patrick got out of the Jeep and walked torwards us. "What in the devil happened Wesker?" Patrick asked. "Something came out in front of me, now the girl is missing" I responded. Deanna started walking the trail as I started walking into the dead forest. "Stay here and guard the woman" I told Patrick as I walked away.
Deanna only walked a few feet into the darkness and saw Sarah in a ditch. She ran to her and checked her pulse. She was alive, but she hit pretty hard. "Got her!" Deanna yelled out. Deanna wrapped her arms around Sarah's legs and shoulders and picked her up. After a few steps she noticed something right behind her. When she turned to see what it was she felt pressure along her side and it puhed her to the other side of the road. She held on to Sarah as hard as she could during the tumble. A second later a loud thunder sound echos the quiet darkness. When she looked up she saw a huge creature with his claw torn into the dirt where the were at a moment ago. The creature had to stand fourteen feet high and it's head was casted in metal structure and tubes. Like it's head was being controled by something else. It started to sway back and forth and then I saw Wesker on his back. She could figure how he climbed it, but he did.
I climbed the back of the beast with my knives. This is something new to me, but it's weakness was the head. It's was modified to be controled. It seemed someone was hunting me.....or her. When I made it to the top I had to act fast, his arm got loose from the soil. I finally found a use for the cannon I brought. I reached in my vest and grabbed my flat black Desert Eagle and shot the back of it's head twice. The metal flew everywhere as the body fell to the ground. I can down as hard as the body did, but I flew off quickly before the body impacted the dirt. For something that big it was quiet until it was dead. I heard the little girl start coughing and Deanna walked out from beside this creature. "What is this?" Deanna asked in anger. I walked torwards it's destroyed head and pulled out the remains of a motherboard and a few wires. It looks like the remains of a transmiter. I had a bad feeling about this. There had to be more coming. I walked past Deanna and picked up Sarah. "I don't know yet. We are almost there." I told her. We began to walk back to the and my watch started to beep. It was a message from my men back at the hideout. I seem to be needed back anyway. I laid Sarah cold body in the passenger seat again. Her breathing was very slow and she didn't seem aware of anything of what just happened. I got in the driver seat and looked back. Deanna was right outside the Jeep and kept glaring at the beast in front of her. I know I wasn't equiped for this, but I will seek shelter in the hideout and think of a plan. "Deanna! Get in!" I yelled. She climbed in the back but her eyes never left the remains of that creature. Even in the darkness she staired in his direction. We continued on.
We made it outside of the hideout a few moments before the Jeep ran dry. I pressed the side button on my watch and what looked like a part of a hill opened up and the bright light from the garage almost blinded us. Gary came out as the lights began to dull. "Sir, you brought company. How odd of you." Gary said. I walked torwards Gary. Gary was in a wheel chair and seemed well handled. On his left shoulder of his chair looked like a cannon of some sort. "Gary, we need Steve in the medical room! We have injured!" I told him. "They are civilians, sir!" Gary reminded me. I turned to look at his eyes. "We need them. The world outside is much worse than I thought." I told him. He nodded and went in the office in the garage. He called Steve and told him basicly what I told him. Deanna came in with Sarah wrapped around her. I pointed at the elevator in the center of the back. I went back to help Patrick with the wounded woman. She quit screaming, but was breathing slower than she should. She lost a lot of blood and was in need of medical attention badly. When we got inside the gates began to close behind us. Patrick and I waited a moment for the elevator to come back up. Gary just watched us in confusion. Normally I never side with anyone but myself. Even a moron can see we need each and every one of us to survive. I have a bad feeling Humitia created a army of those things and they will do everything to kill off anyone known from Umbrella.
The elevator opened and we began our decent down to my lab. I was getting a strange feeling about this woman though. I feel like I met her before now that I was close to her. The elevator doors opened and a large window showed the medical room. Sarah was already placed on a bed with Steve examining her. Steve still looked younger than he should. He was in his mid thirties and he looked a hair over twenty. As for me I am in my sixties and I look thirty. Umbrella has their benifits package as well as their side effects. Deanna was off to the side watching Steve do his job. We continued to the lab doors and continued inside. Deanna took over my side and they placed her on another bed. I walked over to Steve. "She is alright. I think it's just shock cause we were put through a lot." I told him. Steve continued to check her vitals. "It just seems unlike you to take strays like this. What's going on here?" Steve asked. Steve then turned torwards me. "It's worse out there than we thought. Someone has learned to control their pets and more than likely they know where we are." I told him. Steve started walking to the wounded woman. "A little before you got here our thermal readings were off the chart. There might be a hundred of those things" Steve told me. Deanna and Patrick went over to Sarah's table as Steve began to look at her wounds. "We need all the help we can know. I had a lucky shot at one of the new ones. The blonde is the best we have other then us." I told him.
Deanna ran her fingers through Sarah's hair trying to comfort her. Sarah was pretty dirty, but she seemed to have taken the fall well. No signs of heavy injury was seen on her. She moved very slowly though. Her eyes would open and shut randomly. All Deanna could think of was how sad she felt for the little girl. Wesker told Deanna what happened and she knew what Sarah witnessed. Wesker seemed more human than meets the eye. I guess bad can sence evil better than most. Patrick turned torward Wesker and Steve. "I don't want to seem rude, but do you have a place to eat something. I am starved and need to relax for a bit?" Patrick asked. Wesker walked over to a side intercom and pushed the button. "Gary. Give them access to the dinning level and housing level" I spoke to the intercom. A buzz came back. "What?! Are you crazy?!" Gary responded. "Just do it, Gary!" I told him. I walk back over to Patrick. "In the elevator the buttons will ask one through seven. Level three is the dining quarters and level four you will find a hallway to the left with four rooms. Choose one to stay in. You are not allowed in any other floors unless you are told to." I notified him. "Same goes for you Miss Deanna" I told her as I looked up at her. She nodded and continued stroking through Sarah's hair. Patrick went to the elevated seconds after the talk. I figured they haven't showered in months and needed real food for a change. I knew I had to pull in that Jeep and see what Gary could do to fix it up. Honest all we had was a helicopter and it about useless in the ash filled skies. I knew Steve had his hands full so I left him with Deanna and Sarah. Maybe they will keep him company.
I brought in the Jeep for Gary and placed it in the left side of the garage. I felt dirty from the ash so I went to my quarters and washed up. I noticed blood was in my hair and clothes. It seemed odd to me cause I don't remember spilling any blood on to myself. After I changed I continued into the dining hall. I heard a sound I have never heard from Gary once I entered. Patrick and him seemed to be laughing at old stories together and Deanna seemed out of place. She looked like she cleaned up a little, but Patrick looked like he never left the dining hall. I went in the back room and started to prepare a meal for myself, when Deanna followed me in. "So what do we do next?" Deanna asked me. I continued making myself a sandwich and looked back at her. "We wait a day of two. We will decide what we need to do later. Right now you need to eat and start explaining to me, why I should trust you." I told her.
Steve was almost done stitching up the wound on the woman's left shoulder. He druged her heavily and started to get a odd feeling. This woman's face seemed like a odd memory. It's been years since he has seen the outside world, but this woman was more like a cloudy image of his former self. Steve finished the last stitch and covered up most of her chest with gauze wrap. Her shirt was to torn up to continue wearing so he removed the remains and put a white t-shirt on her from his own wardrobe. When Steve turned to his left he saw the little girl Sarah next to the other woman's bed looking at her. Steve was amazed that such a young girl could have survived out there with only scratches. "Do you know her?" Steve asked. Sarah came in close and kissed the woman on the forehead. "Of coarse I do. She is my mom." Sarah told him. Steve smiled at her. "Your mom, huh?" Steve asked. The woman's arm reached out from the blanket on her bed. "Sarah...... baby...." The woman said. Sarah climbed in and laided next her right side. Steve hasn't seen love like that in years. He began to walk out. Until he heard her voice call out. "Steve........" the woman said. Steve knew it know. It's been so long. He turned torwards her and walked over. "Claire!" Steve yelled in surprize.
Wesker began explaining the facility to Deanna.
Level One- Garage
Level Two- Armory/ Medical
Level Three- Dining Quarters
Level Four- Sleeping Quarters
Level Five- Lab Testing Zone
Level Six- Storage Facility
Level Seven- Waste Unit
I explained to her why she couldn't go to the other area. Dr. Darrel Langsly worked in the lab. Normally by himself, but Steve has become like his aid over the years. I finished my sandwich while she rambled on about her life as a beat cop and how Aya's powers gave her a advantage over most situations. The alarms began to go off and I ran to the elevator. I waited for Gary and the others tried to get in, but I held out my hand. "I need you guys to stay here. We are just gonna check it out." I told them. Deanna seemed disappointed as the elevator doors closed. It stopped at Level two and Steve came rushing in. I thought it was odd of him. He never worried before. "Sorry guys!.... What do you think it is?" Steve asked. "The alarms are heat sensored so something must be out there" Gary responded. They reached the top and Gary went straight for the office and Steve and Wesker opened a wooden box near the door. A handful of automatic rifles was revealed. I grabbed the MP5 while Steve grabbed the M-60. We began to load up and we heard some noises outside. It must be those creatures that attacked that town. "What is that?!" Gary asked. "Some type of mutant creatures. They run in packs. Remember that!" I told them. Gary hit the button that started the opening of the garage door. For the view we saw nothing, but still heard them. We continued outside.......
Steve took the right side while I covered the left. The sounds became louder and louder. About six came at us right away. Steve cut them down easily with the M-60 while I took my time. I had tracer rounds in the MP5 and it left a more explosive hit than I thought. Their blood must have a chemical reaction to fire of heat, but their bodies lit up quick. In a few seconds time there was more coming out of the woodwork. I only brought one spare mag for the MP5 and I was running low quick. It seemed to take forever and now I was dry. Steve had one coming up from behind him and I threw my combat knife at it's skull. I have never seen this many before. I was forced to use my fists and still didn't slow them down any. Even Steve was running dry in his M-60, but I knew he had his .357 magnum revolver on him.
Suddenly I heard other gunfire. It was a shotgun coming from behind us and when I turned around I only saw Deanna with a 12 gauge pump. Something seemed different about her. Before I could figure it out one of those creatures speared me to the ground. All I noticed was a sky blue light blasting through these creatures like a high powered laser. All the creatures and some of the dead trees were in peices everywhere. When I got up she was on the ground with out any movement. "What the fudge was that?!" Steve yelled as he pushed off the body of one of the creatures. I put the MP5 over my shoulder and walked over to her. Steve still seemed lost as he glanced around to see if any more came out. I picked her up and carried her to the door, then I noticed something odd. The garage door was half way open. It never did that before and after a few seconds the doors opened all the way. When we went in Steve dropped the heavy M-60 in the box and I noticed Gary had a almost frightened look on his face. "What happened?" I asked Gary. "She...... opened the doors without me touching the gate button." Gary responded. I smiled. "I guess there is a lot to tell." I told him as I walked to the elevator. Steve opened the elevator door and followed me in. "Do you want her in the medical room?" Steve asked. "No not yet. She just drained herself. Thats all." I answered. "What is she?" Steve continued to ask. I looked at her and notice she was more or less asleep. "We don't know." I responded.
Claire was holding Sarah tightly. She knew something was wrong when the alarms went off and Steve took off in a hurry. Even though she was heavily drugged she fought her eyes open. Claire's worst fear was to be placed near Umbrella again or even near Wesker again. She would die for her daughter and was very angry that Wesker placed his monsterous hands on her and her child. Sarah was sound asleep and she made the quiet room sound slightly alive with her breathing. She began to look around the room and noticed a skinny older man with glasses looking at her and Sarah through the window in the other room. She never seen this man before and was slightly scared. The elevator bell rang and Steve came in. The ash from outside smeared his face a little and he looked like he was put through hell and back. "You ok, Claire?" Steve asked. She nodded her head. "I was gonna ask you the same." Claire responded. Steve laughed and wiped his face with a damp towel near the sink. "Well let's cauch up later. Steve........I need you to watch over.....me..." Claire asked as she dozed off. Steve smiled and put his hand through her hair to help her feel comfortable. "Of coarse, Claire" Steve told her in a low tone.
Deanna opened her eyes and noticed she was in a room. It seemed quiet and she had no clue what happened or how she did it. It was a bright blur to her. All she really knew was her body told her to go and she couldn't resist. She looked at her black covered hands and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. Her clothes had a odd smell now. She couldn't figure out what it was, but it was something she smelled before. Then it clicked. She remembered a long time ago she tried to use her powers on command and used too much. She woke up to the same smell as back then.
I entered the Armory and set the MP5 down on the table closest to the ammunition. If anymore of those things come around I need something with more punch and more rounds to spare. My choice was one of the AR-15 with a hundred rounds drum. I took one out from the rack and began hunting down the tracer .223 ammo. I decided to stick with that since it seemed to work better then standard hard ball ammunition. When I finally found the right ammo can I turned to place it on the table, but to my surprise Sarah was sitting on the table with my guns. She kinda glared at me as I placed the ammo can down and started loading the drums. "Are you really the bad guy?" Sarah asked me. I stopped feeding the drum and looked directly at her. ".....yes!" I told her. My answer didn't seem phase her a bit. She started look around the room. So far all she has seen was the medical area, the armory was across the way so it wasn't too far. "My mom says you are a very bad man, and I shouldn't talk to you. You took me and my mom here to help us. Your not a bad man to me Mr. Wesker." Sarah rambled on. I didn't know how to react. My first instinct was to do something to scare her, but it clicked in my head. The only woman who would talk down about me that could still be alive was Claire. The woman in the medical room had to be her. I decided to play it nice. At least to Sarah, it might anger her more if I say her with Sarah. I smiled. "Let's go see your mom, Sarah" I told her. She stood up and I lifted her up on the right side. I began to walk torwards the doors to the medical room.
Claire awoke to Steve sitting on her medical bed. Steve was looking at notes that she sent to him many years ago. I took her a second to wake up fully and notice what Steve was holding on to. She remembered what it was cause all she was dreaming of was the past. She sat up and read them with him. "Do you even know how long I wished to see you again?" Steve asked her. Claire paused for a second. "I didn't even know if you were still alive, Steve. I have searched everywhere to find you. I had to give Ada those letters in hope that they would reach you. You weren't in the yellow pages, you know!" Claire responded. Claire sat up and stretched out as she heard the doors open. To her displeasing she saw Wesker holding her daughter Sarah and placing her on the other bed. Claire stood up and tried to go after Wesker, but Steve grabbed her and held her back. "You son of a BITCH! Don't you dare touch her!" Claire screamed. I turned torward her and pushed up my shades. "Wow Claire. All these years and you can't even say thanks to the man who helped save your daughters life. What a shame." I told her. I triggered her nerves very bad, cause I noticed her face turning red with anger. "Steve! Let me go! I am gonna kill this FUDGEER! Once and for all!" Claire continued screaming. Sarah started to get scared. She has never acted this way ever. "Quit this Claire! He did save both of you!" Steve told her trying to calm her. I smiled and walked over to the side of the bed and sat next to Sarah. Claire continued to struggle and broke loose and in a instant I held her up in the air by her neck. Steve froze in place. "If you want to kill me, you might want to think of a better attack plan then this." I told her. I dropped her on the floor. She seemed to gasp very little. Sarah went down to the floor to help her mom. Steve couldn't believe that she could have broke loose from his hold. He underestimated her strength and was clumsy. "Claire. You might want to think of you child before planning to kill me. Like it or not I need all of you alive." I told her. The intercom buzzed. It was Gary. "Wesker! Darrell has a operation assignment ready for you." Gary told him. "Steve. Keep a eye Claire for me. Till we have a little chat, I don't want her to leave this room. Understood?" I asked. Steve nodded and I walked out to the elevator.
I walked in to Darrell's office in the lab. As always it seemed messy and had a odd smell. Darrell walked in behind me with a folder in hand. I sat down and put my boots up on his desk. He never cared what happened to that table. He sat down in his chair and placed the folder on the only clean spot. "I don't mind that you brought company, but next time make a better guest list!" Dr. Darrell Langsly told me. I smirked. "I knew about Deanna and her unstable nature, but Miss Redfield I...." I was interruped by Dr. Langsly. "Mrs!" Dr. Langsly shouted. "Mrs. Redfield.... I wasn't sure till just resently." I finally responded. "Well, due to your sudden concern for these people has caused a early scheduled trip to the Shayman Warehouse. We will need to head out in two days. Otherwise we will run low on food." Dr. Langsly explained. "Fine with me. I will take Deanna with me. I have a feeling she might be the key to fighting of Humitia's army." I told him. Dr. Langsly stood back up. "Good! You are dismissed. I would go prepared this time though." Dr. Langsly ordered. I got up and began to walk out. It's funny cause he doesn't even have a rank and still orders me around. I ignore it cause his advise has saved us so far.
Deanna walking into the medical room and only saw Steve cleaning some supplies. She almost spooked him cause she didn't make much noise when she entered. "Wow! Tell me next time you come up from behind me. " Steve shouted. She wasn't even troubled by his reaction. "Sorry. I didn't want to bother you." Deanna told him. Steve smiled and put his stuff down and washed of his hands. "Thanks for the save back there. Those things seemed endless." Steve seemed like he was going to rant. "I don't remember much of that. I remember grabbing the shotgun, but the rest seems like a blur." Deanna told him. Steve seemed a little puzzled and Deanna's attention became more directed to what was on the other side of the window of the medical station. The weapons room was pretty full and caught her eye. She began the walk to the other side torwards the armory and Steve followed. He wanted to know a little more about the mystery woman that Wesker brought in.
Patrick came out of his room and he looked a little different.. I noticed the new clothes and that he took a bath finally and his slight odor was gone. I can tell when I walked past him and headed for my own room. He nodded and continued torwards the elevator. He seemed to like to stay near the food or dining area. I looked over and saw a cleaning closet was slightly open. I think someone is watching me. I smirked and put in my password on the side of the door to gain access. I desided to play along and keep my door unlocked. I took off my boots and laid on the bed sheets. I then dimmed the lights on the side of my bed so I could wait to see who opens the door. I knew it was Claire trying to get revenge for the death of her brother. I set a challenge for Claire to confront me and she took the bait. In minutes my door slowly opened up and sure enough here come Claire with a M-9 pistol aimed right at me. I lay still and tricked her into thinking I was asleep. She sat down in a chair next to my bed and continued staring at me. "Are you gonna fire or what?" I asked. She paused for a minute. "What are you planning you son of a bitch?" Claire yelled. I started laughing at her which began to piss her off quick. "I want to get out of your hell hole of a base." Claire told me. I sat up. "You won't last a day out there now. You might not like it here, but Humitia has spread some sort of new chemical during the last year and it has finally took over" I told her. She began to lower her gun and look down. She flashed back to the creature that attacked her. "How bad is it?" Claire asked. "Bad enough that I went out of my way to get someone" I told her. Her mind was asking herself (Why come after me??) So she asked him. "Why? Why come for me?" Claire asked. I smiled and looked directly at her. "I didn't!" I told her. Her mind went blank and she sat up and walked out. It almost seemed like I upset her somehow.
