For those of you who may not know I auditioned for a Character Performer position at Walt Disney World back on October 26, 2007. I really didn't feel too great towards the end of my audition mostly because I felt like I could have done much better. As time went by the awesome people who I became friends with at the Audition and then some friends of mine from school who had also audition began to find out their results though e-mail. During this time I kept on checking my e-mail only to find nothing so naturally I began to become quite nervous. One would think with homecoming I would be too busy to even think about audition results, but alas they were always in the back of my mind. Then we come to today, November 7, 2007.
After getting out of class early I went to check my mail I noticed a white packet from Disney. My heart stopped beating for a second. I quickly took it out of my mailbox and opened it; however, I didn't look at it. I then proceeded to call my best friend, Caleb, before heading to Lafayette. I had him look at it and read it first because my first thought was "Oh no! I didn't make it and they already had choosen my new role." He kept on asking me if I wanted him to read it outloud. I was so nervous and when it was read I couldnt believe it. I was so happy there was mixed emotions on wanting to really cry and I was shaking I was that happy.
I had been accepted as a Character Performer for the Disney College Program! I can now say that I am friends of Pluto and that I am even more excited to beging my second program with all of the really wonderful people who I have already met.
