It's been a little while. I blame work. I'm actually having to work at work. Amazing. Days are actually going at a decent speed rather than freakishly slow.
The bulk of my Shana costume is done. I found loafers and stockings. The skirt and shirt are done. I bought detangler and wig shampoo so I can finally style the wig. The necklace... I haven't done any more than buy the stuff for making the resin stone. I have a pin that came with the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 movie that I hope to dismantle to use the LED to make the pendant glow. If that doesn't work (I think the battery part of said pin had leaked battery acid)... I might have to suck it up and go to Radio Shack. (I tried to hit one in a mall and it turned out they made that one into a ghetto version of Sharper Image.)
I picked up another costume. I don't know if I mentioned that, last time I wrote. The female Onion Knight from the PSP version of Final Fantasy Tactics. (I assume its a new class for the PSP version... I don't recall it in the PSX one and I even double checked the back of the cd case, which seemed to have all the classes pictured.) I plan to pick up a copy of the PSP game soon. The holidays hit my wallet pretty hard. Even if it turns out that class sucks... the costumes are really adorable. I have the fabric for the skirt, turtle neck and jacket. I can't wait to get done with those and start in on the helm.
My goal is to have Shana and Onion Knight done for ACen (which I'm not 100% sure we're going to yet... since the hotel rates aren't listed and I fear registering until I have a hotel locked in). I plan to wear those two and Viola from Eternal Sonata at Otakon. (If I can do anything about my tummy, that is.) For now, I don't know about any other cons. I looked at Naka-con but the one day rate were too expensive for me. If it was a larger con, I'd consider it... but once you add the one day rate to a tank of gas to drive down and back... it's an expensive Saturday! It would have been to be at a con on my birthday... but oh well.
