I know its a long way away but Youmacon 2008 has me so psyched! I kind of consider it my home con since its the first one I can remember and I just had amazing expiriences last year. I will be attending anime Wasabi this weekend for two days, Friday and Saturday, and entering my Mew Berry costume in the Cosplay Overdrive competition. My main costume, however, will be Rhode Kamelot, and I have made some modifications to the costume to make it look better. I recently found out about this place while browsing through cosplay.com's forums. It looked really cool so I signed up XD As far as the convention situation goes, there's definitely two I'll be going to for sure in the next few months. The first is Fanime in San Jose.
