Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. Eat plenty of yummy treats! (I just got done making almond bark and I have the 'dough' for chocolate mice hardening in the fridge.)I hope I don't go too overboard on the treats. Finally Christmas! We waited all year long to the year to end. That’s sooo funny. The year passed by and now I can say I’ve done a good use of it. I’m still young and have plenty of time, but at least I try to use it in a wise way. Next year will come with new battles, I hope I manage to do as well as I did this year. Still not a whole lot to talk about on costume progress. The school uniform part of my Shana costume is 3/4 done. I need to make bias tape for the collar and shirt cuffs before I can finish putting those together.I'm slowly trying to get myself in better shape so I can do a Viola costume from Eternal Sonata. I'm doing crunches twice a day and am trying to watch what I eat. I need to get off my butt and actually use the yoga DVD I bought... and I'm tempted to bust out the dvd my sword fighting in... So the Gasukaners* had their first christmas party. It was awesome. We went ice skating and hit the mall for Blue C Sushi and shopping, then went bowling and did a White Elephant gift exchange. I mostly did behind-the-scenes stuff, which was cool. I like playing hostess/mommy. Made a lot of cookies and candy; the peppermint bark went over really well.
