Bah humbug. I tried to link my the two progress shots I took tonight of my Fox costume... unfortunately it's not working and I just want to go to sleep now... so check it out in my gallery, if you're interested. One's a shot of the wire frame base minus springs, fleece, buckram and foam. The other is my 'what I have done so far'. I'm not 100% happy with the boots... I've been SOOOOO busy this past week, with Fox stuff. Lydia popped by to give me a hand a couple times. She worked hard and helped me get a few things done. Fox's shirt is done. The boots are my goal to get done tonight. There's a lot of foam on the mask... but it still needs a LOT of shaping before fur can be applied. I had a friend come over and help build the frame work for my Fox mask. I think we've got the base shape down pretty well and even have a lower jaw hanging loose so that it will move when I move my jaw up and down. I am very excited by this. I slacked off Saturday, so I didn't get the boots done like I had hoped. Ah well. I found out the white fur for my tail was on backorder and that is why none of my tail fur has arrived.I ordered the fur for the mask saturday. That's probably a good th... Read More
I went into freak out mode last night when it occured to me that I had no clue whether I had enough fabric for Fox's shirt and pants. SO, rather than moving forward on stuff I was already working on, I ended up wasting my night cutting out the patterns I would be using to base his shirt and pants off of. UGH. Good news is, everything fits as long as I leave out a few pieces... bad news is there is NO room for error.I hope to work hard on stuff this weekend. My goal is to get the shirt and boots...
