I hate it when things don't work out

GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!  I hate it when my projects don't work out. My lolita inspired dress is not working as I had planned. For some reason half the dress is too small and the part that I accidently cut a size to small is too big......Go figure I guess. I might be able to make it work, maybe...but it's still going to be a little on the small side. There are also some serious problems with the skirt, for some reason the gathering didn't take too well, and I can't figure out why. Ah shucks, I painted the first design on Yuuko's (XXxHolic) dress...and the rose pattern turned out great, but instead of it looking nice and black it's kind of just a light black. It doesn't look as intense ^_^; wonder if maybe fabric paint might work better on satin? Or just continue using the acrylic paint.

After taking way too long to finish it, I present the EGL skirt I recently finished for a friend.

The fabric is 100% linen. I bought it several months ago thinking I'd use it to make a loli skirt for myself, but never found that elusive Round Tuit. When my friend asked me about doing a skirt for her she really liked it, so now it lives as it was intended. :)
