Welcome!! Introduce yourself please!!
Hello everyone!! I would like to welcome you all to the SSC!! Let me start by saying that ALL are welcome here, it just happens to be a place where those with an interest in Superhero costuming can meet, exchange ideas and hopefully make some new friends!!
Please give a brief introduction and tell us about a current or upcoming project!!
*So exciting!!*
As for me, I love comic book superheroes(especially all things Spider-man!!) and making costumes when possible!! I am currently working on a Venom costume! I know he's a villain, but like I said, "..all things Spider-man!!" It is a collaboration with a friend of mine.
I have other projects in the works as well, but I'll discus those later!
So what are you guys working on?

Hi, I'm Lola and I've been reading comic books since I was 11. I read everything from X-Man, Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, Justice League and Wonder Woman. Nowadays I'm reading Black Adam, Grimm fairy Tales, Justice and Return to Wonderland (with a little Batman, Supergirl and Wonder Woman).
I plan to cosplay the Jessica Alba version of Sue Storm soon.

Hey, I'm Samantha (AKA Necro). I am a huge fan of Spiderman, X-men and Spawn. I've already completed a Scream cosplay (Venom: Lethal Protector, a Spiderman spin-off) and I am currently working on Surge and Phoenix (Not Jean Grey, but Rachel Summers), both from X-men. I may eventually attempt a female Hellspawn from Spawn, and I've already made a (rather half-assed) replica of Agony, Spawn's axe, out of wood.
Comic conventions are my filler-cons in the long stretches of time in between two anime cons, and I love to meet the celebrities at them. I actually bother to meet them, unlike at anime cons, where I usually couldn't care less about the "celebs".
I'm glad this group exists...I think comics need more cosplay lovin'!

Hey I'm Kristen (aka KoriStarfire) I grew up with X-men and miraculously know a lot of information for never having seen a single comic book for a lot of years until i finally started shuffling through a few them in High School. I just about crapped my pants when i saw Teen Titans on tv cause i loved starfire to death. Anime tends to be more my thing. I'm a Japanese Major at Michigan State. But the comics definitely got me started down that road before i found anime. (My sister used to show me the x-men trading cards she had when i was a kid.) If i ever had the physique or money to pull off a storm cosplay, i would, however i still look like i'm 16 years old so i'll stick to Starfire for now... n.n;

Hi guys :) I'm Samantha (TakagiNaoSama). Unfortunately, I don't really read any comics, but I've seen some movies and a few of the animated series. I'm really more of an anime and video game girl ^^; BUT my boyfriend is a HUGE X-Men fan which is why I've cosplayed Psylocke. It's one of my favorite costumes ^_^ And I'm going to make a Ms. Marvel costume for next year's Pittsburgh Comicon! I'm excited :D Thanks for inviting me to the group, spidey ^_^

Lola the Invisible Woman!! Awesome! I bet you could pull off an X-men or two! Not to mention Black Cat!
You're welcome Samantha!! You're planning a Ms. Marvel for Pitts Con? Sweet! I won't make that con next year as I am still overseas, but alas you can share some pics of it right? LOL!
Kristen, are you nuts!? girl you need to put that Storm together, what are you waiting for?
Again thanks to everyone who has joined the group. In all the excitement I forgot to give my name.
I'm Terrance and I'm a costumer.

Welcome!! Introduce yourself please!!
Sorry, Terrance, you've always been my buddy, but don't even begin to think I'm leaving you alone with all the ladies, pal!!
Hey folks, I'm Rick, most people call me 'Master'. But you can call me Rick. :-D For now anyways. Until my next conquest of World Domination....
My life has revolved around comic books and will until the day I die. I've always, always, always been a big fan of almost any and all comic book characters, but I've never been deeper in any verse than I have in the Batman. A few years ago, I discovered which character was me in the comic books...and that was 'Wing. So here I am, ladies and gents. The real world manifestation of Dick Grayson, at your service...
I'm working on a streetstyle Nightwing costume out of leather ot be used in a fanfilm this summer. And I'm also about to begin work on a Punisher suit.
-------------------------------------------------------------- I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day I could stop doing it. Today, however, won't be that day. And tomorrow won't be either.
