Final Fantasy XIII

Hmmm. Miffy is confused.  

Miffy has heard that there will be a Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy but Miffy has also been told it's two different lead characters in the same game. Anyone want to clarify this for Miffy? And will FFXIII definitely be on the PS3?

Miffy has already seen a clip of the opening scene with Lightning and she totally took Yuna's mid-air action firing.

 At the Square Enix 2007 party, it was announced that Final Fantasy XIII will stay PS3 exclusive.

The Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII series is going to comprise of numerous games based in the same universe. Other than Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been announced for PS3 and Final Fantasy Agito XIII has been announced for mobile phones. So as of now, there are only 3 games formally presented to the public, but I believe Square Enix might go with this theme for the next ten years, which is what they have suggested.

I think you might be getting Final Fantasy XIII mixed up with Final Fantasy Versus XIII. The two are entirely different games with different characters, story, etc... Lightning is going to be the main character in Final Fantasy XIII, while the unnamed man shown in the trailer for Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the respected main protagonist.

 

 

WOOT! I'm eagerly anticipating this release! Scheduled for sometime next year yes?

They haven't announced any release dates yet, but are hinting at a 2008 release. My best guess would be either 3rd or 4th quarter next year.

Final Fantasy Xiii-

to Final Fantasy Versus XIII's 'shadow', though it has been
specifically stated that the two games do not take place in the same
world or society, even though both stories share the same creation
mythology based around the Crystals.

 

 

Final Fantasy versus Xiii-
According to interviews with the developers, the world of Final Fantasy
Versus XIII that exists within the last city to control the Crystal, as
well as it's culture, is directly equatable to ours. The world outside
the city, on the other hand, is much more medieval, and outsiders wage
an ongoing war against the city and its residents. Their goal? To take
control of the Crystals, and thus control magic.

Final Fantasy Agito XIII is an online RPG in development for mobile
phones, and is being developed by the same team as Before Crisis and

characters are students at a the Periticium school of magic, and in the
game, players will control the daily life of their character and
interact with fellow students.

The two last one's Are not annouced as anything in particular, however they do exist...

 

there are rumors though...

 

1. My favorite one that keeps popping up is that one of them will take *ALL* the playable characters from FFI - FFXIII (F.N.C.) and pit them against each other in  a fighter game (something like tekken and Final fantasy combined.) That'd be wonderful to see Aries get revenge on sephiroth.

 

2. the other rumor is that there will be another movie made with a better story than even (supposedly) FFVII:AC!!! and with the advancements in technology and Blu-Ray better graphics as well...
