Most people probably left today, but I'm still at work. Will be leaving tonight to go pick up badges before they close, then staying at a friend's house. Costumes not 100% done, but right now my biggest concern is seeing Seki Tomokazu as much as humanly possible. Gee, he's only been my favorite seiyuu/singer/Weiss group member for A DECADE. Well, OK, 9 years. Late 1998 was when I first saw Fushigi Yuugi and fell in love with Chichiri.
Anyway, I'm feeling very nostalgic and nervous about the whole thing. I'll probably be in la-la land for most of the con. When I'm not in line for Seki, I'll be wearing only 3 costumes at various times, and going out to the Harry Potter party and dinner with friends.
I guess I'll see some of you there! Say hi to me when I'm in line. Because I'm going to be there for a while. XD
So like the title says, ANEXT was kind of "blah" for me. Spent a lot of money on food, hotel, going out to hang out and drink, etc. Did very little at the actual con. What did everyone else think? I barely even wore my new costumes. Just wore Sasami for like an hour with the group, then got completely screwed on Saturday hall judging for Ohla. That was my MAIN peeve of this con. We spent hours getting ready, then showed up before judging was supposed to end only to be told they had too many entries and were not taking any more. If you're going to cap entries, then say that. Don't say judging is from 1 - 4 then close down before 4. Not cool, guys.
So, yeah. Blah.
Sooooo...in three long hours I'll be done with work and will be on cosplay crackdown for the rest of the night. My hubby is being a trooper and running cosplay supply errands for me today since he's off. I really hope I can get everything done in time, but considering I haven't even started any actual SEWING on his costume, we shall see.
Right now the schedule looks like this:
Friday: Sasami (group cosplay), Ohla & Geis (Ys)
Saturday: Leona (KOF), Maybe Rukia school uniform, Ohla again
Sunday: Rukia (Hueco Mundo)

Never before have I experienced the dreaded "con stress", but apparently I am now! After 8 years of con going and never really "stressing" over costumes and stuff, my body is trying to tell me something my brain hasn't processed yet.
The past three nights I've been having weird vivid con-related dreams and have woken up with my jaw killing me from clenching my mouth shut from stress. I've never done that before in my whole life! My husband was the one who suggested that this change in sleeping behavior could be stress related, and I'm pretty sure he's right. After consulting Dr. Internet, I'm pretty much convinced.
This is most likely due to the fact I'll be going to 3 cons in the next two months, and will have about 14 costumes between all of them. Split between me and the hubby, of course. But who gets to make them all? Me. 
I'm so glad we're only going to four cons total next year. If that.

Don't let that mood fool you. I was just looking at my collection of hentai animated .gifs. Don't front, you know you'd look, too. ANYWAY! This is me writing a blog. Who thought of MySpace for cosplayers, anyway? Who would have thought there were that many of us? Crazy, I say! Back in MY day, all the cosplayers already knew each other and everyone's costumes were made out of satin. True story. Damn, I'm old. Started doing anime cosplay in '99. THOSE WERE THE DAYS! XD Uh...that's about it. I'm here. I'll be around. Feel free to say "hey."
