Well, for the first time ever...I actually received crushes on this site (One from a person I already know ^_^ So kind!)
While the other is still a mystery...if only they gave out trinklets of hints or something.
For a person who baaarreelly gets noticed on various sites, this is so sweet! I really appreciate whomever sent it. I know alot of people wouldn't fuss this sort of thing, but I still find it nice  Sometimes the littliest things can make you smile.
Unless it was some middle aged pervy stalker then the feeling would be different lol But still!
And I am now back with sewing my Caterina outfit! I completely remade a new, improved and longer stole since the last one felt kinda short. I'm getting my sewing edge and desire back slowly.

I got a really nice job interview coming up this weekend..it's for re-anactments at a fort where you dress in the 1812's ^_^. It's a great summer job for students (Even though it's competitive to get into) since it pays well and it's generally really quite fun.
I'd LOVE to be surrounded in history like that! And dressing up within the 19th century is a bonus. And conducting ours for others should seem quite nifty too, along with just looking like you are a historical figure and posing about.

In other news, I haven't been making alot of progress in my cosplay making since I was recovering from wisdom teeth removal. It's not that it prevented me from doing anything litterally..just that when you have sore cheeks, and tired and you have to bend over a vibrating machine when sewing..it just doesn't sound all that appealing.
But there is plenty of time for sewing anyway.
And my recovery is much better ^_^ Soreness/achyness is now gone from my jaw. I just have two holes to consider lol
Tis about it, though I did buy a cross sometime ago for my Caterina cosplay.

So, I just got my wisdom teeth out yesterday. All four of them!
I think I really like the new IV Sedation method...the whole thing felt so fast.
Plus I suppose I should be thankful that none of the teeth were impacted, just perfectly straight - Which made the procedure quite easy.
I was so worried/nervous about the whole thing too. You would think that after 4 major kidney operations, you would get used to it but teeth are kind of different lol plus I wasn't looking forward to being sick and groggy (I'm the type that hates wasting days away for long periods of time) considering that 3 out of 4 of my friends had a really tough recovery when they got theirs done.
But nope! I feel really fine, just a little achy and some very small swelling. *Phew* Glad it's over with either way.

Here we go again with the half-naked-soft-porn photos, and now are actual profiles.
I'm so sick of looking at skanky half naked girls on cosplay related sites! There is a difference between being sexy and being just...BAH. Plus COSPLAY is for ALL ages, meaning that THERE ARE FRIGGING KIDS all over place too. But no, then you see profiles or photos devoted to looking like playboy models? Sure, you can have the 18+ thing up, but the photos can still be SEEN regardless.
I see half nude women (Or just sexual connotations in general) on tv, movies, magazines, internet or wherever and cosplay was one of the few bloody escapes from all the constant media sex sex sex sex. Sure, you get yaoi and yuri everywhere but at least most of the time it's for pure fun and you don't see certain things flashing on you other than kisses and hugs. And hentai, but that's on the side where people focus through choice in the privacy of their own homes. That's right, a CHOICE whether you want to see fanservice or animated sex or whatever. BUT NOW THIS? Why are administrators allowing this crap on these sites? You don't have a choice whether you want to see these things! They are just frigging displayed!
I'm so sick of it! I'm sure I'll get bashed for this opinion but oh well. Cosplay was just a nice thing to get away from stress, work, school, the crazness of the world. But now erotic pictures are showing up on cosspace. Yay.
At least cosplay.com isn't too bad, I think they have limits there.
I know it's not a huge deal, but I just wanted to rant and get it out of my system then continue on with my life.

I feel like I make things too fast..is that a bad thing? XD;
I'm already more than half done with my Caterina (Trinity Blood) cosplay and I only thought up the idea of doing her around..two or three weeks ago?
It's just the sewing part - I already finished making the dress, the cloak and I'm done with the corset. I just need to add the accesories - Crosses, gold designs on the dress and the hat. Oh yeah, I need boots too.
I'm just worried that it makes me appear obsessive with cosplay when it's not really the case - especially when other people normally finish such elaborate cosplays in a mattter of months, whereas I seem to get them done way sooner.

Yay ^_^ I got the package today saying that I got accepted into Carlton University (I'm transfering from another University - Ottawa U. So I'm already an undergraduate student, just to let folks know!)
Ah, that made me smile. Now I have one less thing to worry about!

Well, I officially started on Caterina (Trinity blood) finished her corset, and started on her long cloak/cape - the sewing part is finished but now putting the golden designs on it.
And decided that I'll save Fai Flourite for another year ^_^; at least the fabric was cheap (It was on sale) so it wasn't a huge "waste", persay. I think I just wanted to remain with the more elaborate style cosplays, and remain with girl characters. Last year all I did was male characters and crossplayed..which was great! But I attracted alot of girls XD; and I don't swing that way. Not to be vain or needy, but it would be nice being noticed by guys too just the same. Plus I kinda missed being femme a little. And..I want to be elegant ^_^

My goodness, the conventions that I'm going to this year (With one that I'm still not sure if I'm 100% going) is making me already excited...
I mean, CNAnime is five months away but I am now thinking about it ^_^; and even a little excited, and interested in talking about it with friends. Anime North too, which is about two months away, but I'm 50/50 unsure about whether I am able to attend.
Bah, it's ridiculous technically! They are far away but I'm all semi-hyper about it. And I wouldn't want summer to go by quickly just for a con. I'm going to have to remind myself to enjoy the spring and summer first and foremost.
I guess it's normal for alot of people XD
