Final Zombie Update: 2nd Chance for Late Sleepers!

Final Zombie Update: 2nd Chance for Late Sleepers!

Got some news for all you heavy sleepers that are still interested in zombieing as part of the Horror Spoof filming Saturday (Oct 27th).

We'll be taking late-comers up until 11am.  But to be fair to those showing up for the actual start of filming, the late-comers will be ineligible for the prize raffle, most likely not be chosen for the action sequences (i.e. grabbing / mauling other actors), and you'll probably miss most of the free food.  And obviously you'll miss being in several scenes.

But its still a chance to be a part of the film.

MomoCon Needs Zombies! Sat. Oct 27th
Posted On 10/17/2007 21:01:31
Saturday Oct 27th 8:00 am, Georgia Tech Student Center 2nd FL Lobby.

MomoCon will be shooting a segment of 2008's opening ceremonies video and needs your help in assembling the largest zombie horde Georgia Tech has ever seen.

* All zombies will be fully credited for their rolls.
* A select few may be chosen for close-ups and action sequences.
* All participants will be automatically entered into an on site raffle.
* Light refreshments will be available (as supplies last).
* Campus parking is free on weekends.

Zombies are to be the slow grey-skinned shambling type (exp: the original "Night of the Living Dead"). Our make-up budget is limited so anyone bringing their own is much appreciated. Please keep the gore effects to the minimum (PG range ie no gaping wounds or severed limbs). Participants must be able to take direction; the smoother the filming process the more enjoyable the day will be.

Filming Schedule Saturday 10/27:

* 8:00am, 2nd Floor Lobby Student Center, Georgia Tech Campus. Sign-in, reciept of raffle ticket, and make-up.

* 8:50am, zombies lead to shooting location.

* 9:00am, Estimated start of filming. Total shooting approx. 4-6 hours. Zombies are welcome to take breaks between shots and set-ups. The raffle will be held immediately after the day's shooting.

Please RSVP or direct any questions to MomoCon.Guests@gmail.com with [ZOMBIE] in the subject line.

Thanks, and we hope to see you there!

So Close Yet So Far

Another prop down for my Shadowrun cosplay.  Just a couple more items, and it'll be complete.  Here's the Smart Goggles & Gun:

Not quite there, but I can see it.

Mech_angel finished her work on the spirit shield base I put together. So now it is official the Snake Shaman Fetish (power focus) for my Shadowrun costume. Also pictured is the painted Nyoko Super Cobra light gun which looks like my idea of a Remmington Roomsweep Heavy Pistol/Short Shotgun:

Now all that's left are the two kit bashed Doc Wagon patches (shout out to yang for putting together that color scheme), cleaning the paint off the lenses of the goggles, some fabric painting for the medic bag, and some printing for those corporate pass cards.

Shadowrunner: WIP

I really should be sleeping, but I just need to brag a bit. I'm finally making progress on my Shadowrunner (rpg not Xbox360) for Dragon*Con.

* Some Leather works to accent the cyber punk pieces.

* Various pass cards corporate and government created from actual ones that came with the Denver campaign setting. These will be on my person via an armband ID holder that was an ebay find.

* And to round things out (for now), every Shadowrunner needs to have smartlink goggles and a gun. Next up for these is sanding, painting, and more sanding. Probably a coat of sealant too.

Items incoming from Ebay are the previously mentioned ID armband and a Native American styled beaded armband (kinda like Dog: The Bounty Hunter wears).

Further to-be-constructed is modifying an outdated PalmPilot to become my commlink. I'm contemplating Native war face paint and a totemic sharpie tattoo as well.
