Ace Attorney: Investigations

I'm sure a lot of people who are fans of the Ace Attorney games were excited about the newest game to the franchise featuring our beloved Miles Egdeworth at the main character! Although the basic game play is the same from the previous games, it's sort of refreshing to have a new role as a prosecutor, as opposed to the Defense role you endured in the last few games.

I personally loved playing as Miles, and absolutely adored the new characters they threw into the game! (ie. Lang, Shiina, and Kay)
So I decided to cosplay as Shiina this coming Otakon! I'd like to have a full group for this, as opposed to a million Edgeworths and Kays. xD!

So if you're attending Otakon 2010 and considering cosplaying Ace Attorney, drop a comment and maybe we can get a shoot/group togetherrr?? :D?!

Heya!

I go by the tag 'Fuzz'; I'm an 18 year old aussie based in Melbourne, looking at forming a cosplay group sometime.

I'm an amature film maker and a budding theatre mech/techie undergoing an informal apprenticeship in theatre production while officially doing 1st year arts.

I'm pretty new to the anime scene; Death Note, Naruto and the three (damn awesome) OVAs of Phantom of Inferno are all I've seen thus far.

Anyone got any recommendations?

So, I'm a sophomore in college(credit wise, but it's my first year) and I still don't know what I'm majoring in.
*I will now babble on about my dilemma. It is advised that you skip this paragraph if you don't want to hear it.XD* Basically, it seems I'm torn between having a good-paying job I don't really enjoy, but having money to use on things I do enjoy(like cosplaying!), or having a job that doesn't pay as much, but I enjoy. I was researching different jobs when I found a Confucius quote that said something to the affect of 'If you enjoy your job, you never go to work, you go to play'. One of my best friends is planning on going to culinary school and opening her own pastry shop one day, and asked me if I wanted to do that with her. As much as I would loooove to do this, I don't know how realistic it is. On the other hand, I was thinking about going into radiology.(that's my latest kick at least-.- I've gone through many many ideas._.)I've read that radiology is the best paying medical job and has great vacation time. The big thing that keeps me from going for this is that there's sooo much school. I don't want to be 30 by the time I get out of school._.
Any Suggestions? :D

Anyhow, mine was Juunanagou (Cyborg no. 17) from the DragonBall series, when I was fifteen years old. It was Halloween that year when I cosplayed him, but I wore it a second time in the following Springtime. Mostly for my Juu fan shrine. My brother does a much better Juu though, being a guy and everything.

Hey everybody, my name is Pris, I actually used to be known as Secret_x_Link (and Nijuukyuu waaaay back), but anyhow, I have a new account here as I needed a change and to start over with the name most others know me by.

Needless to say, Pris is from the character from Blade Runner, my brothers affectionately nicknamed me as such because of being similar to the character (eccentric and childish ;P). Anyhow, I'm hoping this year (or perhaps, the next if not this one) to attend my very first convention, which will be in the New England region (not sure which ones though just yet).

Cosplay is a hobby for some, an obsession for others.

Have you ever started watching an anime and before you even decide if you like it or not you're trying to figure out who you could cosplay?

Sometimes I'm like "I'll be the brunette in the intro. I dunno who she is, but her costume looks cool and I wouldn't have to wear a wig"

I've also gotten to the point that when watching an anime in the back of my head I try to figure out how I WOULD make the costumes, even if I am not planning to. Like characters I hate, lol, I'm sitting there like "I could use that one Simplicity pattern for that costume. I'd just have to alter the collar and figure something out for those sleeves"

Anyone else have any obsession moments?

Iv'e been a member for a while, I guess, but Im a bit confused about this new look. Though I've never ever written in the forum before, so I though I should.
I'm Sedra, I like to cosplay (obviously) and Im more into making specficaly Robot Costumes, I've made two so far and I'm working on my third. Im gonna start in university next year and I just turned 18 years old this summer. I'm from Sweden and a member of the Cosplay Group B.A.K.A.Cosplay and I've done a total of 10 costumes so far. I like Transformers and Gundam, watchmen and comics mostly, but a few manga and anime series aswell. Nice to meet you!

Join your fellow cosplayers and non-costumed fans at Centennial Olympic Park's Ice Rink from 3pm to 7pm on December 5th for a fun day of festivities, giveaways, song and dance, and (of course) ice skating! Costumes and skating are not required, and please leave all weapon props at home (we don't want to put out an eye on the ice!). A'ight, so I have a long curly auburn wig that was once a saloon girl wig. And it looks like....... Well........ It looks pretty damn bad.

Now, this is, of course, a Halloween quality wig, and it's also the first wig that I have ever owned, second to one I shared with my sister way before I even knew about cosplay. I got the wig from a garage sale from a clean woman who had paired it with a costume I also got. The wig was also styled a bit before I took pictures (i.E.; During summer break) which brought it to its current state.

Finally, I have two questions about it; One, *which characters could I be* with this wig, if I fixed it? Two, how could I fix it to where I could wear it *even when I'm not cosplaying*? (I.E.; Wear a hat over it without looking like a complete dumb-a**
*1. I have to approve of the characters, so that way I don't look like an idiot while cosplaying.*
*2. I'm a lazy person who likes to disguise themselves when they go out to do something, and I want to look..... semi-good.*

Sarah's Ball Gown

Alright, so for KumoriCon 2010 and maybe SakuraCon 2010, I want to make Sarah's ball gown from the Labyrinth and wear it with Garnet's wig, necklace, and crown as a sort of Queen version of her that doesn't have a train so I can actually DANCE in the damn thing during the Masquerade. It also kills two birds with one stone. xD The problem is, I have no idea what fabric to use or wether or not I'll need to embroider the hell out of the top. Here's some pictures of Sarah's dress:

I'm somewhat new as I joined in August this year. I haven't joined in with the forums until now as I didn't really have much to show for cosplaying. I've now cosplayed as two different characters which seem to have been well accepted, so I thought I would now make myself known on here a bit more.

On cosplay sites I'm always SlimDefinition, and that goes for Cosplay Island and Cosplay.com as well as here. I'm from the UK, I'm 23 and my real name is Melissa - but call me Mel if you wish. My current two costumes were BloodRayne and Rose (The Legend of Dragoon - normal outfit), and my in-progress project right now is Hrist from the Valkyrie Profile games.

Vampire type costume

My head is about to POP right now cause im trying to make a Vampire costume and on paper it look good but when i put it together it looks bad like the pants its not looking right with the shirt. I didnt get to make it to my Con cause of this an i im soooo piss lol. Hi, I'm Amaya, though if you call me by my chief cosplay, Garnet/Dagger. I cosplay her every year the majority of the cons I go to; usually as Dress/Queen Garnet. I'm in the process of making every other version of Garnet for KumoriCon 2010. That's Amano, Regular, Trance, Cloak, and Kid.

I also do PJ Garnet at cons when it gets late. Garnet is really old vintage lingerie running around a hotel... I sure made Kuja and Zidane happy. No, seriously, you should have seen the look on my Kuja's face! xD

Oh, I lied, I'm also maybe going to make a Garnet version of my own design for the masquerade ball for the next con I go to. I've got an idea for it, and It'll be somewhat of a cross with Sarah's ballroom gown, since I want to cosplay her as well. Oh, the sweet, sweet, amazing irony of it all. Sarah from the Labyrinth wears that amazing dress that reminds me of Garnet's dress. Jareth wears something similar to Zidane. Garnet's birthname IS Sarah. Ah, Squenix... you amuse me so with your references. xD

But anyway! I am a seamstress and video game jumkie. I've played FFIX backwards, forwards, and upside down so many times that when I play it now I don't even think. And I've got the script damn near memorized.

So call me Amaya or Garnet... or if you are Rikku, call me Queenie like you do anyway. xD Oh, my sixty-five and a half kids are calling me, ja ne!
