Yea, I'll be cosplaying as Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop. I cosplayed as him last year, but this year I planned out his costume to look much better. Why don't write a list of characters that you think you can pull off? Then, filter down the list to a hand full of characters by different categories.
which characters are...
1) the fastest to make,
2) the most time consuming to make
3) the easiest to make
4) the most decorative to make
Then choose the one that you feel comfortable doing. Hopefully this helps. It's how I made my decision last year.
