I put kinda on this title because I can't say this will turn into much of a traditional con report. Had I spent more time actually experiencing Anime Boston maybe it would be a real on report but it's really just a recap of my adventures... so that being said lets get on it!
I left Banner Elk on a rainy Wednesday afternoon and only got myself slightly lost while trying to find my way to BT's G-boro apartment. I did get there and we went bowling, watched a movie, talked and slept. Unfortunately I woke the next morning to find neither of the two alarm clocks I had set had gone off and I had missed my flight by one hour. I got another flight leaving at 7:30 pm but I had to stay all day in BT's apartment while he was at class. I took some epic naps yo.
Mallorie picked me up from the airport and we got ridiculously lost on the way into Boston. I missed the Purim ball with Sydney but it's okay. I got some great sleeping in. Nishi and Tiff arrived the next morning and we made a mad dash through the cold and wind while dressed as Disney Princesses (well Nishi and I were, Tiff was cleverly disguised as a convention photographer. When in the Hynes Convention Center we started the amazing task of standing in a line. This process started at 10:30 or 11:00 and didn't end until 9 pm that evening.
Yes. We stood in a line for registration that long. I stood alone in my pre- reg line for 4 hours before joining my friends in their line. In my line I was talked to by a nice guy from New Hampshire that liked to give me food.
When I finally joined my friends in their line I got to meet Henry the creator of American Cosplay Paradise or more commonly known as AC Paradise. He became our line buddy.

We of course had to come up with ways to entertain ourselves so we did shoots with Tiff in places outside of the line but still close enough. She got some really great shots I can't wait to see.

We encountered some crazy people however, including a group of "wiggers" or "weegros" that believe whole heartedly (because of 4chan apparently) that all Alice cosplayers are sluts. Well I was dressed like Alice so I'm getting cat calls and s&%$ thrown at me while they try to get my attention. I walk directly up to them and say: "Just because I'm cosplaying Alice doesn't mean I'm going to give you con sex okay?!"
They shut up pretty damn quickly. I had to explain what con sex was to Sydney... her reaction looked like this:

Another adventure involved infiltrating a group of boys for a cupcake stealing mission. Om nom nom. So this quickly turned into line truth or dare. The best product of this was when Nishi and I spotted a cute boy (om nom nom) wearing purple converse we dared Sydney to go talk to him.

Well purple chuck boy (Sean) and his friend Light Weight (Matt) jumped back in line just to chill with us. They were perfect gentleman, awesome company and they even got us animal crackers and carried Sydney's stuff.

After the line of DOOM Friday was pretty much shot because we had to get up so early to tackle hair and makeup. So we got food with the boys (Dunkin Donuts was a staple of my weekend), did a shoot with Tiffany, and then left for Syd's dorm.
The next morning I awoke to put on my costume then go back to bed because I had to wait on Sydney to do my makeup and hair. Which looked fierce. This is the only shot I personally have, which doesn't even show Syd's crazy ass headdress but we did a shoot with a very nice man named Kevin that works for a company that I cannot remember... But I'll have those as soon as they're up. This is my Amano Costume btw, and I loved it.

Taking that ring out of my nose and putting my other one back in was a total bitch btw. Hurt like hell.
After the shoot and some dippin dots it was already time to make it back to the dorm for yet another costume change. I got to wash all my makeup off for the most part and transform into Luna Lovegood!

Again, we did a shoot with Tiff but I don't have those pictures yet. So here is a classic myspace shot of our mini harry potter group.
Nishi and Tiff left us at 8 pm so Sydney and I went out to dinner with Sean, Matt and their friends in Cambridge. It was a heck of a lot of fun and very tasty.
Sean at Dinner:

After dinner we got back to the dorm around 12 and I fell asleep while watching the Princess Diaries with Sydney and her roomie.
The next morning we headed back to the con to tackle the infamous dealers room! This time no costume. I scored an awesome Harajuku Lovers bag (Gwen Stefani is LOVE) for only $15. Also some cheap and adorable Sanrio frog stationary. After the dealers room we said goodbye to Sean and Matt and Sydney and I headed back to the dorm to play rockband with Peirce and Stephen! I would like to mention my 100% on vocals while playing "Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi.
After Rock Band Syd and I headed back to Cambridge to rock the Garment District. I fell in love! Part costume shop, part thrift store, and part vintage boutique?! HELL YEAH! I scored a HUGE and gorgeous tapestry for $7, a vintage hand made woven wallet for $2 and some presents for Jessika and my mommy.
After this I headed out of town to meet Mallorie at the Haverhill stop. Yay trains. I arrived to her around 10 pm and we didn't go to bed till 4 am because we were talking. I had to get up at 5 for my flight. So that hour combined with the two hours I slept on the plane... yeah I'm running on three hours of sleep. Mallorie and I didn't do our planned shoot, things just were so hectic and we decided to catch up instead but we're still planning on doing it at some point. She might make it to AZ! Woo!
Plans are already in the works to get Tff, Sydney, Nishi, Sean and Matt all down to AZ for 2009. This makes me so happy, I know they'll love my home con.
I got home around 2 pm today, spent some time with my dad then tackled the majority of Laura's duct tape dress for the "anything but clothes" Sadie Hawkins dance on Saturday. We're starting mine tomorrow. I'm doing a brown flapper dress, Laura's is a futuristic black a line dress.
Now I've spent too much time fighting the urge to sleep and I'm giving in. Expect pictures soon!
And if you want to see more of my crappy pictures from the weekend you can check them out here:

Overall it was stressful, hectic, and wonderful. I don't recommend the con if you like smaller conventions. The crowds were overwhelming and the staff was lacking in organization. The cosplayers ranged from amazing to horribly sketchy as to be expected and there seemed to be a lot less cosplayers in general than the amount of cosplayers per con goers at smaller conventions like AZ and AWA. Or maybe that was just me.
I enjoyed myself immensely because of my friends new and old. I made some memories I won't trade even despite 9 hour lines and a missed flight. I miss my con buddies!
Now I'm moving on to Animazement construction and planning!
