It's been a really *really* long time since last time I logged into cosspace. I just remembered this site today, after many months... but knowing me, I'll forget it again. And again.

So I'm saying that I'm back today, but I'll be gone. Again.

Well, I got my cosplay from off Ebay, again. It's finally here, after 30-ish days of waiting.

I open it from a plain paper package, and I see that the packaging sorta sucks, but I think "oh, well. That's okay, it should be kickass." So I take out the contents, lock myself in my mom's room [it's the only one with full length mirrors] and I try it on, getting confused with how the top is supposed to go on. Ten or so minutes later, it's on, but I notice a drastic difference from the picture product of Ebay. "Oh well," I think "my other cosplay was like that, too, and it was perfectly fine".

Now, some of you know Soi Fon's costume. It's mildly revealing, and the upper parts of the thighs are visible.  

So anyways, I digress. I try it on, and it doesn't look as great as I thought, the bottom is too short, but "oh, well," I thought " my other cosplay was too short, also, but not one seemed to care". Okay, so I went on google and searched some images. Well, I have quite some work to do with this mildly disappointing cosplay. 

I have to:

-Create/buy armwarmer thingies

-Make Soi Fon's Suzumebachi

-Buy black hair dye/cheap black extensions and make her hair thingies

-Make her under-stuff so my undergarments won't be visible and... yeah.

-Figure out what I'mma do for her feet.

Oh, and I might just buy a wig for her, too. =.

I got a Wii today! No games except Wii Sports, but I'm planning to change that soon. I gotta sell some old GBA games and probably my gamecube, so that'll get me some moolah for games... plus, it's almost my birthday on the 15th.

 I don't know how to use a Wii, but I'll figure it out eventually, I just think it's freaking awesome that it can play GC games and support the memory and controller! Yays!

Although the system cost $350, unopened [haha, or so my friend says. :3], about $100 more than the newer prices, I think [since it's not my family or my money], that it's freaking worth it [as soon as I get new games. xD] but hopefully that'll be within the week [oh great, another thing to do within the week... make that the 1349825th thing to do. xP].

Nyharr, though... I got about 5 games on queue waiting to be started to be played/finished. Hmm, Skies of Arcadia [almost finished], Baten Kaitos [not started], Kingdom Hearts II [not started, and I haven't played the first one, either], Magna Carta [not started], Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life [geeze, like.. 3/7ths of the way done], Final Fantasy X-2 and XII [need to finish], OceanStar [not started]... Yeah. A lot of those games are what my brother left me before he went to Afghanistan. =.= I have yet to even finish a game I started when he left. xD School took up my time [I never play videogames during the school year unless I have like, a week of break]. But I'm almost finished with Skies of Arcadia! So that should be exciting until the end of summer.

Alright, for those of you who will read this, hopefully you are familliar with the animated series, Bleach. For hopefully AOD SF 2007, I will be cosplaying as Soifon, a captain of the Shinigami.

The cosplay itself won't be that hard for me. That's what ebay is for. I'm concerned about her zanpakuto, the suzumebachi. I've read some threads in the cosplay.com forums, recommending craft foam and wonderplastic, or whatever. I'll probably end up using craft foam, but I'm not sure if I should make the entire zanpakuto out of craft foam, or use a black arm warmer and just paint parts of it gold and attach the "bracelet" parts on... but it might be easier to just make the whole thing out of craft foam.

Still, it's pretty damn hard to make it... especially the finger part. How would I make it move? Should I stick a piece of plastic in it to ensure that it could move? Gah, questions that go through my mind!

But more importantly, is the prop actually... okay? Should I make it just for the sake of having it? Or should I just make the zanpakuto in it's sealed form? If I was to make it, I would like it to look perfect and very accurate... rather than really crappy. =.=;;

Gah, I suppose time and my effort will show. Yay...?

EDIT: If I give up, I'll probably end up scrapping the whole idea and just buying a plastic sword and scabbard... and just tote it along everywhere on my back [as Soifon does in her captain outfit].

Eh, so... there's 343 days, and 37 more minutes until Fanime 2008.

I'm planning my cosplay. Yep. This early. I've only a few ideas, but I've got no idea what to cosplay as.

I'm thinking... maybe a FF AC character, Yuffie... but I really don't want to wear shorts [although I've been wanting to do her cosplay for a while]. I've also considered Soi Fong from Bleach, but I'm not sure if there's going to be like, 10 of me next year, too. I can only pick one, but I'd like some other ideas... from you, the reader.

I'd rather not do anything revealing, but I'm okay with the back showing. Just no stomach or high thigh. I'm more than fine with dresses... just as long as I can buy the cosplays from Ebay or other online stores [yeah, I'm that lame.]

^^ I'd really appreciate some, ah... suggestions. Nothing too obscure, just something really easily recognized.

Wow, Fanime sure was fun! Too bad I don't remember the last day... I was pretty much almost ready to pass out. I will never pull an all-nighter ever again... unless I have an energy drink next to me.

Registration was awesome, made a few new friends, which I'm hoping to stay in contact with. ^^

Bought a few things, but not much.

I think I'm going to have a heart attack or something a few hours before I go to con... or at least says most of my friends. xD

Actually, a lot of them say "you're obsessed", or "shut up"! It's kinda funny, really. ^^

I'm bouncing on walls and I'm super ecstatic, I may just start counting down the hours of when I arrive at con on Friday... hehe, it'll be fun.

Oh, har. I'm also a newbie and addict to MapleStory. @.@ Except I have a mac so I can't download it on my computer. I've been going to a friend's house to play it. But... I'm already level 11! [Okay, not very high, but for playing maybe, 6 or so hours since sunday?!] And I've got a kickass hairstyle from that beginning hairstyle quest...

I'm going to my friend's house tomorrow, too. ;D

My daddy fixed our sewing machine [it was missing parts, apparently] and so I was trying to make it work today... and to my dismay [hey, that rhymes!], it doesn't work the way I would want it to. Me having no experience with my home machine [I've worked on a different kind], I screwed up three times, then when I pressed the foot pedal, it would go too freaking fast, and then would screw up everything because I wouldn't push up the material in sync with the speed... and it got all screwy, and then I tried it again on my actual cosplay, but it was on the wrong sewing pattern thing [zigzag] and I had to take it all out... @.@

I need to buy a more up to date machine [mine is so~ freaking old!] and read the manual... as for now, I'll hand sew it or have my mom machine sew it.

YEE! Nine more days until Fanime, and I can't hold the excitement in! I know for sure I won't be able to catch much sleep with this sort of attitude. I'm just looking forward to it a lot.

I'm still working on my Team Rocket cosplay, but it should be finished before next week. Unless something goes horribly wrong... *knocks on wood*

Yee! I can't wait to see all the Cosspacers as well as... well, everyone! ^^ Of course, I'll be dragging my friend around everywhere since she's not really sure what she wants to do... We'll see what happens.
