Hello everyone!

I'm back! Well sort of. I have not came back to my cosspace for so long that I never got around to figure out how to work this account! I see everyone with fancy pages, colouring and fonts, garh where's mine!

I've been busy busy busy since I returned from on the 2nd of January.
Caught up with some private cosplay shoots, busy adjusting myself with the more stressful challenges in my day job and also TRYING TO UPDATE ALL MY SOCIAL SITES *weep*


In Singapore, we're going to host our annual mid-year event Cosfest, it's Cosfest 2008.
Every year, they give it a sub-name. Kind of like Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, so we get Cosfest : The Golden Experience (no kidding -_-) or something along the line.

This year, its going to be held in early July.

Has anyone of you ever thought about attending Singapore cosplay events?
I've always wondered, has anyone here at all thought of what goes on in Singapore events? XD

For me, I've always wanted to visit AX ever since my cosplay friend visited 2 years ago. According to her its such a blast, and I can tell so from the photo, public blog entries and such. I really want to be there someday!

When I visited Japan late last year, I attended TFT Winter. For my friends and me, we wanted to experience the event and cosplayers get to enter at a cheaper rate XD But inside me, I went OMGWTFBBQ that I'm going to experience and cosplay at the 'motherland' of cosplay.

Lotsa thoughts about the event though, but this entry is getting too lengthy for this to continue, so I leave you with a photo of my TFT cosplay.

People say... imitation is the greatest compliment.
This isnt exactly imitation but I'm just amused by the whole situation.

Maybe this girl is young and passionate about this series, and does not know much about intellectual property rights and stuff. Maybe so.

She took one of my Furuba cosplay photo and posted into her own cosspace.com account. I wouldnt have known if cosspace.com/Sayda did not contact me at cosplay.com ^^;

Both of us wrote a message to her asking to for her to remove the photo but she has not reverted yet.

Miyuki-chan, if you do read this entry, I am not mad at you but you have to either credit or give information of photo before you take them and post.

Please remove it as soon as you can :3

Hello my friends!!!

How's is everyone? I have been on a big big adventure altogether since I left this site alone for quite some time!!!! It's only Hiatus I am now back! :D

What I have been up to:
- Completed and wore my costume for EOY event
(End Of Year)
- Clearing work was hectic as I was going to leave for a long vacation.
- I travelled for the first time overseas for a cosplay event
(Something wonderful happened!)
- Visited Japan for 10days! And also cosplayed at TFT XD


It was been quite an experience everything. I have so much to share with everyone! Will come back to this site again with pictures and stuff ^^

This time, I have with me:

It was alot of fun, laughter (on my expense) and is a very special
session to me. Although I have appeared in this costume with xrysx
before, I have never done a photoshoot with her and Lenneth.



It was...surprisingly easy to work with them, I hope I did not give
them too much grieve being silly and out of character when I'm not in
camera's focus XD



The process

Xrysx is whom i tagged as a no-nonsense cosplayer, a well-planned and
researched shoot eases her. I had to follow suit. Although I have a
more spontaneous approach to such sessions, it was not a bad idea doing
homework on the characters body languages, expressions.



For my make up, I tried very heavy eyelining and wanted to achieve the
Lelouch snake-like eyes. I think I didnt get it, the make up looks
weird in close or half-closed eyes shots. But the make up does flatter
some "look-up" shots. Lose some, gain some? ^_~



I have very pouty lips which is too girly for Lelouch so I go heavy on foundation for my upper lips. Works well.



The weather was pretty good that day, except for a passing shower of
about 30minutes. It cleared out and we continued with the shoot. We
visited 2-3 locations for our session.



I enjoyed posing us in the photos, it gives me something to work on
during the shoot and keep us all moving in the itenary. Of course, I am
full of crack and cannot resist omake.



Photos look pretty good to me, I'm happy as hell =D

About my coser friends

Lenneth makes good efforts as Suzaku, she is tall, has good build for a
guy and is very photogenic. I had a hard time catching up XD But... wow.



Xrysx is also another photogenic subject. She was extremely cute as
Shirley and was in character most of the time. But her short skirt gave
her alot of inconvinience.



Some personal thoughts

I cannot express how special this shoot is, because I have grown very
close with Lenneth during our OT hours of conversations and insanity
online. It was a good opportunity to get to meet her in person and
converse in RL!!!


It will be Lenneth's turn to cosplay as Lelouch this weekend. I am
so looking forward to seeing her shots! XD She will definately do a
superb job.

When I first started cosplaying, I did so with two close friends from the design school we all studied in. Same course in fact.

Cvy was in the same class as I am. She jumped in and tried the novelty of cosplay. I jumped in after that and we did Hikaru No Go, along with our friend: banditYing, who is junior of a year younger.

And along the whole process we also come to befriend Lynn.A, mirukuchabake, Shuui, p|hu and Ko. And in the timing of mirukuchabake building a shared cosplay site, we started identifying ourselves as Asterisk* after the site's name.

We started doing cosplay hobbies together, and spent alot of time with one another, almost everynight we converse on msn. We became more than cosplay buddies.

Friendships of such caliber are hard to come by for me ... I think. I treasure such arrangement I have in my life now.

Once again, I am proven that we are such amazing bunch together...


We were going to do a photoshoot for our Reborn! cosplay on the 18th August, but it rained the entire morning, most of us got together online, joked about the weather, not exactly demoralized, and 'captian' of the shoot along with the amicable agreement of the rest of us, we called off the shoot.

"Ok, all in agreement to cancel shoot?"
"Good thing we had alot of good shots at the event."
"Yeap, Yea, Sure, Ok!"
"Let's still meet up anyway! I'm hungry!"
"Oh yeaaaa!"

And so most of us met up, and had a nice day out, despite the rain. Well.... we DID have a photoshoot. XD

I'm not sure I got my point in this entry but, I just love my friends, the rain did not demoralize us and we still met up to do fun things although we couldn't get photos taken. (But of course already having quality photos taken prior did ease the situation abit)

This entry is a little pointless but it does remind us all Cosplay is a hobby and its all about having fun isn't it? Take it easy and go all out with what you have to offer! *thumbs*

I have a CODE GEASS photoshoot with some very very new cosplayer arrangements/cast ever! on the 1st of September. I am quite excited about it!

Hello Minna-san!

I finally did it! I'm finally able to take a step back and give myself a breather. I attended a cosplay event without cosplaying!!

The event is actually World Championship Games (asian division). So we see Thailand, China, Australia, Singapore, etc pitting against each other for DOTA, WOW, DOA, Battlefield and what not.

Side programs include... cosplay. Hahaa! I was there for that, but nonetheless fun to see so many hardcore gamers in one place.

It was really an eye-opener to see hardcore competition level gamers do
their thing. They were yelling and waving their arms whenever they pwn
thier opponets D:

I manage to 'hunt' down my cosplaying friends and camwhored with them, LOL. One particular shot was an exception though, I ASKED two cosplayers I do not know of to let me take a picture with them:

I also manage to caught up with Lenneth (my wifeh ) like. FINALLY!!!! OF COURSE I TOOK A PHOTO WITH HER. Not sure she would like it that I post that shot, so I will not ^^

It was really really really fun to take a step back to attend a cosplay event and not cosplay. I get to check people out, I was being left alone most of the time. Uber fun ^^b

Hello Minna-san!

Over at Singapore here, we have ended our big cosplay event of the mid-years, Cosfest 2007.

Thank god for the internet, I get to talk to several local cosplayers and know them better, and have the opportunity to tap thier shoulders and say hello at the event itself.

It makes the event alot more enjoyable when you have many people to look out for to say hello or take photos together with

 

I am still trying to figure cosspace out. It is a little difficult to post photos into my own gallery. I just accidentally created a gallery somewhere in the forum and posted a photo

 

Need to fix that soon!

I will be tidying up all my cosplay stuff, and so much photos to go through and post to share. Will also start working on my END-OF-YEAR costume now.

In Singapore right now, we're hosting our annual COSFEST event.

I'm quite fortunate to move along with all other cosplayers to move into a new era where we have our first (more than a day long) cosplay event!

3days, splitting into a Saturday, and the next Saturday Sunday. It has been quite tiring for me, im sure for other cosplayers and photogs too.

As i write now, tomorrow will be day 3!

So I will head to bed now as tomorrow's costume is going to be very tedious and heavy!

 

Hello all cosspace users!

I am new here, this space seems really
fun, for cosplayers and all. I will hopefully put most of the images I
