So, no AAC for me. I'm totally takin' it in da pooper at MangaNext the weekend before (with 6 hours of panels in a row on Friday... WHOA) and thre is no way I'll be up for the loooong drive one weekend after that.
Kind of sucks, though, because there are a lot of cool people going. :(
Mental Note: NEED TO MOVE TO NEW ENGLAND!

No PreReg yet, but Stay Tuned!!!
OMG. I meant to actually blog FROM Connecticon, but from the moment I got there on Friday, I found myself being pulled in SO MANY directions that it made doing ANYTHING quite difficult.
So, all in all, Connecticon was good times as always-- even though the con had some major organizational/staffing issues. I was somewhat disappointed at my sobriety (or, lack of drunken shennanigans...) during the weekend, but alas, who can afford more than one $10 martini a night at the hotel bar? However, I was able to do SO MUCH this weekend that it made the lack of party-activity worthwhile.
A HUGE shoutout to Patrick, for cosplaying the HUGE SHINY THING on Saturday night with me, to Jekka, Brent and Dave for being my Masquerade cohorts, to Kiarrens for writing the skit, to EVERYONE in the "dance skit from Hell" (it made me LOL pretty hardcore), to Nick, Randy and the rest of the crew at the Anime Boston registration booth, to the Artist Colony crew with whom I shared my tiny bit of partying with Sat night (especially Jodi and Sketch), to Alik, Paul, Volar, Meg, Celia, Gale, Steve, Ginger, Michaela, Bellydancing-Leia, Awesome Armstrong Dude, Devon, and everyone else who filled this con with Epic Win.
I have a feeling Otakon just ain't gonna top this.
Wow. It's been a while since I've blogged. My first entry here. It feels WEIRD...
Anyway, looking forward to a long vacation in Florida. Leaving tomorrow for a fun-filled 4th of July in Tampa. Metrocon on the 7th! (Woohoo!) The farthest south I've ever travelled to a convention. Beats out AWA. HA!
Then, Connecticon! I'm exciting to FINALLY be debuting my webcomic costume. It would have been worn at PortConMaine last week, but US Air were a bunch of douchebags and LOST MY LUGGAGE! WTF?!? But I can't think of a more "appropriate" convention to debut a webcomic-oriented costume at than CT-Con. So it all works out.
I will SO be adding light-up cable to this costume eventually as soon as I figure out what type I want to go with... anyone who knows ANYTHING about adding electronic details to costumes, PLEASE comment!
