Aww man! So it was a huge change from the year before? Hate when that happens. And bad weather, yeah...always a "wet blanket," if you'll pardon the expression. But you're right, every con has good years and bad years. Just remember one thing: Next year is always completely different. XD
I am enthused about next year's SakuraCon. It's in April, so hopefully it there will be a little more sunshine to work with during the day. And I admit it...I like the Washington State Con Center! XD
OTAKON! WOW, tons of people! Convention center is like two buildings connected to each other. HUGE variety of cosplays, from the usual suspects (KH, Bleach, Naruto) to Samurai Jack to Code Geass to Soul Eater to Super Smash Bros to Dragon Ball Z! Cosplayed Sasuke at Pre-Reg, which was cool, because I ran into and ended up eating pizza with a Naruto-cosplaying "family" (aunt & boyfriend, with nieces and random friends) And on Friday August 8th I did what no cosplayer has done before...
I COSPLAYED TIME JUMP NARUTO AT A BALTIMORE ORIOLES HOME GAME! IT WAS EPIC!! Most thought I was just a hardcore Orioles fan. Only the con-goers and kids knew the truth! XD
And of course, just like SakuraCon, I ended up in another "Sora Gang" roaming the con taking photos for an afternoon. Seriously, that's what people called us. A "Sora Gang." XD
Only thing was, I only knew, like 5 people when I got there. That changed once the con was over, but still. 5 people. And the Masquerade...well, yeah. Only 2 skits were cool. The DBZ skit by Glay's group, and "Flute Link" who I hear is a regular in the area. THEY'RE GOOD!
