Me as Link (Zelda: Twilight Princess) and MelodiousFlame as a member from Team Magma (Pokémon Ruby).
1000 views... Should I say thanks? Sounds a bit weird to thank someone for that, but hey, I'm glad people find me clickable. XD
So yeah~ I just got news about two other cons coming up soon here, so maybe I'll have to try finishing my Link costume in time for them! I'd love to~ My friend Hybrid_Pirate is going to be my photographer for a photoshoot in the forest too, so I should try to finish it as soon as possible... I've been busy with my fanzines (self-published comic magazines) lately, but I'll try to get back to sewing this weekend or so! Yosh!
Thanks for dropping by! ^w^
Good news! X3 I got admissioned for the comic school I've been wanted to get into for so long! I tried last year, but was not accepted... So this year I worked hard and developed my artstyles and made many comics, most of them being based on funny things that have happened on conventions! XD Whoa, I'm glad I'm in... Now I won't have to move across the country, or keep having crappy jobs (such as paperboy from 2am-7am T___T, or working in a stressful pizzeria trying to deal with weird orders and the constant whining from the chefs even if I haven't done anything wrong... argh!)
And as for cosplay plans, I'll go as Link next. Yeah, I've allready been Link, but this one will be the Twilight Princess version. Also, my friend known as Hybrid_Pirate here will join me as the Oilguy Coro! XD I'm looking forward to that. We're aiming to have the costumes done in time for the cons in september, so no rush... yet. But I would love to have a photoshooting now during summer, so I will try to have mine finished earlier. Depends on how much work I will get now in comic school, the summer classes start in june and goes on to the end of july.
I'm also trying to look into other ways of making armor. My Mega Man armor was very time consuming, and I'm hoping to find something that won't take so much work to even look decent. Too bad it's impossible to find any Wonderflex or even craft foam here in Sweden. ÓxŇ And if I would import it, I'd probably have to pay a hell of shipping costs, AND taxes and custom fees... T_____T I'll be glad to hear if anyone has some good tips regarding this. =3
Thanks for reading, and take care!
I've been bitchslapped with the obvious. Or have I been tricked? I read this on a forum, where someone was saying his goodbyes and leaving not only the forum, but the whole Internet. This was his reason for hating the Internet, and to go and spend his time elsewhere. " I hate the illusion that on the Internet you're talking to real people. You're not, these people are probably a totally different person in real life compared to who they pretend to be online. The Internet is a disgusting marketplace where people sell themselves to the highest bidder (the currency is called "Attention"). 'Look at me, I'm so photoshopped that if you saw me IRL, you wouldn't recognize me! Read my blog, my life is so interesting that EVERYONE should know what I do during the days! I don't mind showing the world my private life, just write something in my guestbook! ANYTHING, please write to me! Notice me!!!' "
And, I agree. Are we writing and showing pictures just to hear what others think, and to get noticed? If we just did this for ourselves, wouldn't we be making documents in Word and saving them on our own harddrive, or even writing diary on paper instead of having a blog online? It got me thinking, and I will try to find out why in the world I find it so much fun to tell someone that they have an awesome cosplay, or why I've posted pictures of myself cosplaying. ...and I'm wondering what reasons people have, when you think about it like this.
KodachiKun was yesterday. I had lots of fun, even if it's just a one-day con, a sort of teaser for the big one coming up later this year. I went there with my friend Vixie, who also photographed me in the Botanical Gardens. The weather was lovely, and the gardens were so pretty! I've put up the photos allready in my profile. ^w^
The cosplay was nice, I especially liked a girl dressed as Yuuko from xxxHolic. She preformed on stage with a guy dressed as Clow. And as usual, lots of Kingdom Hearts and Death Note cosplayers....... Meh. Anyways... I placed 1st! *w* Whaaa~~~ Me very happy! This is the second time I placed first, did so with Mega Man too. So happy!
So the con was awesome, I had a great time together with my friend and found some nice new people to talk to as well! Really looking forward to upcoming cons, as usual. Now I can get started with my other cosplay projects!
I've uploaded pictures of me as Souseiseki, and I also uploaded four new pics of me as Mega Man. Still thinking about uploading the cosplay scrapbook pictures though. Maybe. ;3
KodachiKun tomorrow! X3 Obviously I'm looking forward to it, especially since I've been told the weather will be lovely! So yay, there will be a photoshooting of me in my Souseiseki cos!
So what have I done today?... Uh... I've been driving go-kart. XD Isn't that a perfect way to prepare yourself for a cosplay?... Perfectly in-character *sarcasm*. Bah, anyways, me is happy and excited and should probably go to bed now so that I can get up early tomorrow and get into my cos. It's interesting to ride the bus when in costume, don't you think?... I think I'll wear shades though, because of Souseiseki's different colored eyes... will just make people stare in an annoying way. Meeting up with two of my friends also. So yeah, hopefully everything will be fine. I'm most looking forward to the photoshooting, and meeting my friends. One of them especially, since I haven't seen her in a while, plus that this will be her first con. ^w^ I'm not really looking forward to being on stage this time. It's hard to come up with a good show when you're alone on stage, and there's not just a catwalk either (I prefer catwalks, just make a few poses and then go back. Feels weird just posing on stage, catwalkless.) Anyways, I'm not competing in the show categories, just the costume and likeness ones.
Time for bed...
Today inspiration has just been flowing through me. Which is good, I got a lot of things done. Oh, I wish I had the right fabric to make the new Link outfit... But anyways, I think I won't work on any costumes now, not until KodachiKun is over! It's this weekend, I'm so excited! *w* Souseiseki boku!
Anyways... today I finished filling the lineart of one of my comics in Illustrator. Now it needs to be colored in Photoshop, and I'll have one more ConCom done. I also made a new scrapbook page... I was thinking of maybe uploading my cosplay scrapbook pages here in an album, but I'm not sure. *blush* Anyways, I'll think about it. =3
And also, today I caught the Hylian Loach in Twilight Princess... again. But this was the first time I caught it in the Fishing Pond, I've only found smaller ones around Hyrule before. So that's nice.
Now I shall play Pokémon Diamond. Gotta catch 'em all, POKÉMON!
w00t! =D Yesterday I finished my Souseiseki costume~ Now I'm just waiting for my colored contacts to come into my mailbox, and I'm all set! *w* Oh, and gotta find a pair of white tights, but that's not hard. I'll be wearing it at KodachiKun the 19th april in Lund, Sweden. Hopefully I will have a photoshoot in Lund's Botanical Gardens, if the weather is nice. Let's hope it is...
Well... Bye for now!
