I decided to use my cospace blog to post my work in progress costume from now. I don't pretend to give a tutorial or anything else, but I would like to keep a trace of my work in order to improve myself costume after costume.
(and also because I am so damn lazy to make a tutorial each time I am askhow I made my costume, but don't tell anyone...)
Well, so, this is about my Versailles Lady costume. It is a creation inspired from a costume from Trashy.com that I suggested forour annual french-german rainbow group. It is now the 3rd year we are making this kind of international group, and I love the concept ( which belongs origin ally to HaruVamp)
The dress:
You need :
[mesurements are in meters and centimeters]
* 1.50 m for the under dress ( pink on the pictures)
* 1 meter for the upper-skirt ( the light green)
* 1.50m of plastic bonings
* ~20 m of lace. (depending of what you use)
* 1 zip for th underdres
* ~8/9 m of satin biais
* ~8-9m of pink galon or trim
* ~80 cm of satine for 1 bow
Fabrics are brocade ( and believe me, it was not easy to get the good color )
The details of the dress :
Just add as much satine bows, lace and decoration you want : the more the better ! I choosed to put rhinestones, but Zedrielle choosed small satine roses; it is very pretty too.
The hat :

The shoes :
I hot glue gunned my bows. I can remove them off whenever I want without causing any damage to my lovely shoes.

hu, I said finished ? not totally as a matter of fact. I just have finished the design and the embodering sequins.
The good news is it just took 3 evenings. The bad one is I have two arms, and also two legs.
