Finally well rested from ACen this past weekend and ready for upload some photos~  More than likely this was my group of friends last year at ACen.  As a lot of people have been saying it's being heading down the drain it's past fews years.  Reguardless, I still had a lot of fun this year and was glad to come anyway~  We're trying for Otakon next year, a new big con for us that we've never been to.  Pretty exciting. XD  We keep wondering what cosplay we'll do for it....good thing it's still so far away, we might want to do a MM Merveilles group!!

Now after ACen is done I am SO looking forward to Youmacon!!  It's come so much from it's very first year, so very small that year.... XD  It will be wonderful to have it in an actual convention center this year, lots of places to roam and explore. XD;;  I'll also get to see my friends at Youmacon that I usually see at ACen.  I miss them so much T____T) 

My MisaMisa and I will also be running the Death Note panel at Youmacon.  Last year went better than I had hoped!!  You would not believe how freaking nervous we were...But as it turned out everyone loved it and thought we did an excellent job!!  If you're interested the panel will be 2 hours this year!  We're planning on having the projector this year to show snippets of things (We were supposed to last year....but...) too as some had suggested.

As for cosplay for Youmacon I really don't know~  I might just finish the ones that are sitting around instead of doing totally new ones.  Hime was very fun to wear....

Been a long time since I talked about cosplay!  I've been slowly working on it, most of mine (Plus the new one's I'll be making for friends) are fairly easy so I'm not stressing those 23 days to ACen.

And the Progress so far...

Kaeru-zukin: 85%
Hime: 65%
Eden Mana: 50%
Idol Minako: 70% (Maybe~)
Exo-chica: 25% (Maybe~)

Neo-Princess Pluto: 80% (For Friend~)

I'm also trying to get together Kiba's youngest version outfit for my youngest sister who just loooves Kiba. XD  If Kiba doesn't work out she'll just have to pick a cosplay of mine to wear. 

I'll probably bring my Amaloli outfit and have her wear it, she'll be ADORABLE.  I think just as long as she looks neat she won't mind what she wears.

Back from Youmacon!!!

 I had SUCH a wonderful time this year!  My group of friends actually enjoyed the con atmosphere this year instead of just tarding out by ourselves.  We took a lot of photoshoots of each of our cosplays instead of a bunch of just one day too XD

 My younger sister also came along for youmacon; it was her first and she really liked it!  She cosplayed as Chouji and got so many compliments on how cute she was XD  She liked all the snacks in the dealers room to buy too. . . . XD

 I was surprised to find that this year more people recognized my Shimamaru cosplay D:  Last year everyone in my group dressed as popular Naruto characters and I got left out a lot because Shikamaru isn't really part of the cool group XD  This year as Shippuden Shikamaru lots of people yelled and hugged me and stuff o__o)~!   I also got so many compliments on how I was the best Shikamaru ever! o_____o);;;

 This was also my first con running a panel!  My friend and I (MisaMisa) ran the Death Note panel.  OH GOD, we were SO NERVOUS jsut before it was time to go on.  So bad that we each felt like puking x-x)  But when we got up there and sat down and started talking everything went wonderfully smooth!! There was even a positive feedback thread someone made about how great our panel was on the Youmacon forums!!! YEY!!! We are TOTALLY doing it next year, maybe even ACen!! ♥

 Half our con pictures are on another camera (mostly Death Note ones, some Naruto ones, lots of tarding out ones XD) So within the week I'll have more pictures :33

 Well That's all for now.  The next update will probably be about my upcoming cosplays.  I think I've got the next 3 narrowed down. . .

More supplies were bought both in stores and online this week! :3

I've been comfortably working on my large order of cosplays for the past few days (since I had them off work)

As it stands now:

Idol Minako: 60% (lots of little things to do)

Neo Princess Venus: 85% (still lots of hemming)

Shippuden Shikamaru: 97% (I need to buy new hair color XD)

L: 100% (bought new wig, should be here soon :D)

Neo Princess Pluto: 100% (cut out all pieces and ready for Sets to sew :D)

Ragnarok Alchemist: 65% (lots of tiny pieces to cut out and hem still..)

Neji: 80% (So many squares..)

Chouji Nightclothes: 0% (Sister requested this for the con, so cute ♥)

Doing pretty good so far, yeah!

Also conversed with MANA-SAMA about our Death Note panel at Youmacon.  We've been going through the manga making key points and such (It's really taking forever)  We'll more than likely have 10 thousand pages of notes and only need a bit of it.  Panels are half run by the people that come to it, asking questions and pointing out things and such, right?

We'll be working on general characterization and more key points in dealing with the manga........and then move onto the anime and movies.  (they shouldn't be hard at all already knowing the generst jest of the manga, just noting differences, feelings etc.)

The Crisis Core soundtrack has been helping me along greatly during this XDDD  I'm definetly going to buy it after the con~♥ (Or maybe if it's there....:D)

More supplies have been gotten over the weekend and about time too!  (I was saving up to be able to buy a large chunk of it and finally did so yesterday.)

I have the grand total of cosplays I'll be making for myself and others for this year's Youmacon. . .

Neo-Princess Venus (me!), Idol Minako (me!), Neji, Ragnarok Alchemist, Neo-Princess Pluto and Chouji.

I was spared an insane amount this year. Basically I'm in charge of fabrics; sewing things together and getting the main shell done.  Anything that needs accesories will be done by Baka.  Sets is working on most of her cosplay by herself with the occasionaly plea for help.  Mana-sama is buying most of hers or modding it. 

I also recently found out that my middle sister will be able to join us at Youmacon, her first convention!!  She going to be Chouji all weekend :3 

All cosplays are about in the 40-70% range of being done.

YEAH~!

Went out shopping with Sets today and bought a grand total of 80 bucks worth of cosplay things.  Mostly fabric and fasteners (zippers, buttons etc.)

My roomate also just got a job at Michaels! I'm so jealous of her since I applied there too (TAT) BUT I'm still happy and excited for her!  She was thinking about quitting it when she goes into college but I told her to keep it.  Discounts, DISCOUNTS!
