As I sat glued to my t.v. last night for hours, watching history being made, I looked to our president elect with a reluctant hope...The road ahead is treacherous and filled with peril, but we are American, we are America, Never have I had such a sence of conviction over an election, raw emotion and a renewed sence of hope. I can't say what the next 4 years will hold for my country, but I will say this...
Mr. Obama,
Our nation is full of dreamers, hard workers, full of my brothers and sisters in Democracy. We are a bruised nation of worried individual united now under you as our new president. We are fragile and wounded, weary from recent hardships. Don't fail those that placed their future, their faith in your hands. We as a country are looking to you for a light, a beacon in darkness. Your road, our road, will be a difficult and trying one. We can not fix it overnight, but we as Americans are full of limitless hope and determination. We have the drive and desire to overcome. We yearn to prove to the world and ourselves that America's true greatness is still yet to be seen. So my words to you the 44th president of The United States of America, is do not fail America. Do not sit idly by as our nation sinks into apathy. Though the weight of America, her hopes, her dreams, her promise, is on your shoulders, though it is a great weight. Do not tire in striving to help heal her wounds. People are longing for a positive change, a new beginning, the people turned to you, do not fail.
As the dawn of a new presidency begins, as another page in the history books is written, Surround yourself with people of varied opinions, ideals, dreams, and morals. With time, patience, and direct action, America can unify to face the challenges of this world together. Please Mr. Obama, don't forget the resilience of our nations' people and don't loose your resolve when the road becomes dark and winding. We cannot rebuild it overnight, but we can and will rebuild America.
Stronger. Better. United.

Well, we started out on thursday, headed from Nashville to Atlanta. Got to the hotel and instead of 2 rooms with double beds next to each other, we got 2 rooms, 1 bed, different floors. No microwave, no mini fridge. For a 5 star hotel they suck ass! The convienience of staing where the con is didn't outweigh the crappy people at the front desk nor the fact that they were pretty much like "oh well, sucks for you..." no actually, It sucks for them cause not only will my group not be staying at the hotel again, now you all know the crappiness that is them, oh and what the hell is the deal with a 14$ omlette and a 6$ bowl of cerial????? Moving on... dealer room was lacking in the plushie area (imo) but overall anime filled fun. Wasn't too interested in the events they had going this year, and the hentai room didn't show hentai, they showed cheesy 80's live action asian porn. (if I wanted that I would just go down the street and buy it...) Some crack whore orginized the kingdom hearts photoshoot and all she wanted to do was orginization 13 and yaoi pics... :/. Then she had the nerve to try to take over the Naruto photoshoot on sunday as cloud and take yaoi shots.... Every year I see her and wish that I could do violent things..... Cosplays were AWESOME!!! some people are really talented...I loved Artimis dr. pepper p.j.s!(look in my gallery for the pic!) Against all odds, I am hoping that next year will be better.....
Wheeeeee! I can't wait till A.W.A.!!! My Aerith costume is sooooooo awesome and I actually sewn some of it!!!! (learning the art of the sewing machine now I am! Plus I'm tired of having to depend on others.) I wish I had the money for a Tsunade wig, but Hopefully nooone will hold that against me and if they do then they suck monkey butt.... so yeah, A.W.A. or bust!

Well my Sakura wig has finally arrived, compleating my sakura p.j.s (they will be debuting at AWA in sept.) My Aerith hairpiece as arrived also, it's a little dark, but it'll work. So Aerith is about 20% compleate. Tsunade is about 85% I need to sew it and find a cheap blonde wig. My ren fair skirt was awesome! It was really hot outside though.... so that's the news of the day!
I'm currently working on my Tsunade, its about 70% compleate. Also I have my material for my Kingdom hearts 2 Aerith costume, I finally got the boots. Stilll waiting on extentions for my hair cause its thin. I am only about 30% compleate with that. And for fun I am working on Sakura from Naruto p.j.s, all I lack on that is a wig and I'll be done with that!!! It'll be super fun! I took a break for a min. cause I went to the TN Renassaince festival, so I'm now making a gypsy skirt on top of my cosplays..... (sigh) so much I want to do, so little time and money...
