I've been pulled back into cosplay this year after only going to one convention in 2007 (and spending most of my time in restaurants and at the zoo instead of at the convention hotel)... and I feel like I am cramming a year's worth of cosplaying in a few weeks. As always, I bit off more than I can chew, and I'm in the middle of a delicate balancing act between engineering work, teaching, school work, life, and my costuming hobby. Which means I had to scrap most of my hall cosplay ideas due to lack of time, and will instead rock the Negaverse (har har horrible pun) with Ali instead. I just hope Zoisite and Kunzite's wigs aren't too tangled, they've been crammed at the bottom of my wig box for years now.
Which reminds me I forgot to pre-register for Katsucon, I can see the lines from here... I will need to find myself a line buddy to have conversation while we wait, or it could end up a very saddening experience. Unless I have to, like at Nekocon, do some last minute hand sewing in line instead (Kunzite's pants, actually). At the rate I am going it is unfortunately a definite possibility.
Enough procrastination, I have a paper to write, and a waistband to sew! I hope to see everyone at Katsucon!

No matter what I do, I can't get the two images I want to show up as the latest additions in my gallery... is there some sort of trick I am missing? I hate it so much when the two photos displayed aren't the same size...  Maybe I'll just post my favorite Blood+ photos tomorrow and bump these two off. Funny how I can program e-commerce solutions but can't make a simple gallery work.
I finally uploaded some new Hellsing photos to my website, so I thought I'd post them here as well. They are a little dark, but I tell myself it gives atmosphere! (or I could be in denial) I wish more were useable, but it was late night, which made it a challenge to capture decent images on a digital camera.
[They are available in my gallery] Manga-Integra was such a thrown together costume, I really want to take the time to make a better one (and actually slather myself in self-tanner before wearing it as I don't tan naturally, I just turn bright red)... I have a few ideas, I just need to poke and prod some people into doing it with me because cosplay is always more fun as a group.
