Well folk Megacon has come and gone and man what a weekend. Oo It was tons of fun and I dont think there is one part of my legs that dont hurt. XD I'm really surprised by the reactions my Haruhi Suzumiya and Moogle costumes received and kind of disappointed that people didnt really realize who i was when I did Ringo but at least i was relatively warm. Lol. But overall good con. The dealers room was a tad too crowded for me on Saturday and there were a few not so happy things that happened but i say it was an overall success for my first Mega and I will attend next year. I had alot of fun at the Nintedo vs. Final Fantasy photoshoot I think that was the highlight for me. Well either that or teh WoW cosplayers I saw loved the night elf, blood elf and taruen i saw. ^,^ I made out pretty good. Managed to get 4 things. I bought a Haruhi Suzumiya wall scroll, got conned into buying an SOS Brigade bag (though i did need another bag) an SOS brigade belt and a Rikku (FFX) wall scroll. And my friend corey bought me a Yuki (From Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) figurine too ^,^ I'm actually still wearing the arm band . i forgot to take it off XD Well going to hunt for pics of me. If you find any let me know plz!!

*COSPLAY UPDATE**COSPLAY UPDATE**COSPLAY UPDATE**COSPLAY UPDATE*

Yes that's right folks it is time for a Meevies-chan Cosplay Update.

 I am very proud and excited to announce that my Megacon 2008 cosplays are all 100% complete.  I have picutres of my Haruhi Suzumiya Cosplay posted as of the day before yesterday and Ringo Noyamano and the Moogle shall be posted soon.  I'm really looking forward to everything Megacon has to offer this year.  This is my 2nd convention and first Megacon.  So I am very very excited.  My cosplay partner in crime Moria is cosplaying Simca from Air Gear with me and Mikuru Asahina when I do Haruhi.  We will be more then happy to pose for pictures for you if you ask ^_^.  But yes I cannot wait for Mega to get here. 7 Days!!!!!!!

Yup.  That's right ladies, gents, and fellow cosplayers on the interweb.  Its update time!!! Wooohoooo! Hmm okay here I go.

 

 I am quite proud to say Ringo is 90% done.  Besides the goggles, badges and belt buckle everyything is made, styled and sew together  ^_^. I have picx in my gallery if you want to see.  I am very happy to have at least one of my cosplays done.

 

Haruhi's skirt is complete but I haven't really done much beyon that . I will!  Probably over the next week or something. *shrug*

 

As for any of my other cosplays...still waiting to be done.  I have Anko that I plan on starting after Megacon. and i'm considering doing Anbu Anko as well.  Since Anko cosplayers are so rare,  I'm sure no one would ever think to do Anbu Anko ^_^ anyways.  I've also added Maya Natusme to my list of cosplays.  My friend Robin is doing Mitsoumi (teal haired buy) sometime later this year sooo we'll see what happens with that.  And, yes, someday a bleach group is happening.  Just not yet.

 

OKay yeah so I think that's everything.   Plus I"m running out of time.  Gotta go get ready for work Oo meeeeh.

So, Its been awhile since I've really posted anything cosplay related as far as the progress of my started cosplays so here we go:

Megacon-

Haruhi Suzumiya

The skirt pattern is cut out (thank you lauren) and will be sewed when i go down there for xmas. The shirt is there as well. I have made a few test head bands but cant really do much until I get a wig. I have emailed the company I am hoping to buy it from about that.

Ringo Noyamano (Air Gear)

I just ordered the wig!!! Like seriously 30 minutes ago. I should have that in a few weeks. I have the gloves and found patterns for the jacket and shirt (though I may just buy the shirt at walmart due to the lack of money). The jeans I'll proabaly buy too cuz they'll be a bitch to make. Other then that I still need to find goggles and figure out the hat. And the belt shouldn't be TOO difficult.



Jacon:

Kuchiki Rukia (Bleach)

I found the wig. Still need to order it. Have the Hakama pattern. Need lauren's assistance w/ the top. Not sure what to do about Rukia's zanpakuto. But i've got time for that one.


Planned for Unknown con ATM:

Anko (Bleach)

Still in planning stages though i did find the perfect fabric for her coat at walmart about 2 months ago.

alrighty ladies and gents..here's an update from little ol me. I'm trying everything in my power to get to janicon. Thanks to a large part to my friends Moira-cahn and Kakashi-sama. I have 2 cosplays planned Moogle and snj (sexy-no-juutsu) zabuza (idea from kakashi). and work really wont be much of a problem..its only 3 days off.  They'll live.  But i am goign to go to this con!  dammit.  I am taking donations too...moneys really tight....but yeah...looking forward to it alot

I have to say as of right now yesterday had to be one of the best days
I've ever had. Cj invited me to go to the beach with some people from
his cosplay group Bonzai anime. At first i was a little hesitent (I get
really nervous when meeting new people) but he really didn't give me a
choice. (not that I was going to say no XD) but anyways. I went. And
had a friggen great time!!!!!!!

It started off with a trip to
walmart for beach supplies (and like 6 boxes of strawberry pocky)
with Cj, Brittany, Andrew, and Ben. We met Dave at Cj's. Then off to
New Symrna beach where we met up with Jenny and Sylvia. There we played
Jackpot, Last Man Standing, Touch Football, and Chicken. I lost jackpot
and last man standing. The team i was on for football won only cuz cj's
team sat out on him after awhile. And i lost chicken but was at a
stalemate with brittany for awhile. Andrew was my partner. ^_^ but all
of us got somewhat burnt besides Dave and Ben. After that we went to
the moives. Played in the arcade while we were waiting. I won twice on
airhocky against Andrew (and i didnt hurt him ^_^). The we went to see
the Simpsons movie which was awsomeness!!!!!! Then we went back to Cj's
and played on his Wii (I WANT ONE!!!!!) we played Wario Ware for quite
some time (soooo much fun). then we watched Nerima Daikon Brothers and
just chilled. We all left about like 12ish. But i had alot of fun and
hopefully it will happen again. This life thing is pretty bad ass.
Better then sitting here for hours on end XD.

But everybody was
really awsome. Just like Cj said they would be and i had a ton of fun.
I seriously cant wait till next time. I think I am going to like being
in Bonzai.

I cant wait for more.

I don't know what has gotten into me lately. I'm finding myself easily irrtated and I don't know why. I was really looking forward to AFO-I still am- but...i dunno. I'm just all of a sudden feeling really down. I don't know why and I do not like it in the least. It may be the fact that I want to do something with myself. I want to be all hyper like all the time like i was for the past couple weeks. But for some reason i feel stagnent. I found a career i was interested it but the growth outlook is so minimal its depressing. But I still want to do it. The hard thing is will I ever find someone to support that. I mean, like, in a relationship. I need someone who doesn't think that making costumes for a living is childish. I know it doesn't make a ton of money but I have other ideas too. I need a guy who will treat me right and that enjoys doign the things I like to do. Someone who has a deep passion for something and someone that will take me for me, good and bad. I dunno, maybe I'm just getting lonely again. I hate being single but I don't want to date someone just for the sake of being with someone. It's just getting really hard because now that I'm single, all these guys started talking to me and, I mean, some of them are really great guys but I just couldn't imagine ever dating them. And then I meet this absolutely amazing guy and first of all he's taken aaaannddd he keeps using the word 'friend'. I guess that's what I deserve for doing the same thing to so many guys that are now my friends. It's just irrttating. But I'm going to be a good girl. At least I have an amazing friend. ^_^

Another thing that is bothering me is my increasingly low selfesteem. I am joining a cosplay group called Bonzai Anime. They are a group that doesn't just cosplay but CosACT. Meaning they don't just dress up as the character but they EMBODY that character. Its an element I thought was a given even before I knew about the group. But I'm really worried. I don't know if I'm any good at acting! Sure I was in Drama/Theatre for a year in highschool but i was always an 'extra' who had no lines and in my drama class I was the Acting coach and couldn't gain the respect of half of the actors in the group. Granted they were a bunch of underclassmen bitches who didn't respect ANYONE and was just in the class because they thought it was easy. But I don't know. I'm afraid of letting Bonzai down, I guess that's what it is. I really want to be a part and I love the way that its creator, Cj, has set it up. He has something good going with it. Something that there should be more of. And I want to help. So bad. But I don't want to let anyone down.

Gah! I sound so retarded. I'm so emo lately. I hate it. *gets emo glasses and listens to Hawthorne Heights* there. EMO!

MEh hello people of the world wide interweb.  I am.....SASHIKKU!  lol  at least thats my nickname hereabouts.  I just wanted to say HELLO IM HERE.  And all that jazz.  I am currently in quite a hyper mood (as i have been since i moved to Orlando). I am a very creative person who loves things like anime, ddr, manga, making random videos w/ friends, ect ect ect

 I just started getting into cosplaying and have my first costume done and awaiting AFO to commence.  I am so excited to have that to look forward too and can barely wait any longer.
