Next month I begin the long annoying process of packing up my belongings and then moving house. This will mean possible delays on cosplays and me being offline for a while. I hope it won't be for long. I have lots planned and not much time to do all of it in. Yeek!

A long delayed cosplay is now finally getting some love. After falling very ill and recently fracturing my ribs I'm now determined to get him done. I've completed the sword. Its shorter than it should be due to new weapons restictions that have come into play here in the UK. The jacket and trousers are having to be remade as I've lost so much weight since I start over a year ago. Will hopefully be picking up the tools I need for the armour very soon. Not a cheap costume by far. The main tool I need is going to cost me £30-50 ($60-100). So once hes made I do intend to wear him loads of times. The first test pics are now up in my gallerys if you would like to check it out. Any feedback would be great at this early stage. S xx

It seems like a costume design made for me. I have the glasses and the hair so it was logical to choose Abel as a costume. I also hoped he would be an easy costume to do. I was wrong *sob* Firstly, I had fractured my ribs so any kind of sewing was diffiucult. Secondly, I lost truck loads of weight. I set the pattern up a while back ready for me to make him in plently of time. Due to me fracturing my ribs I was unable to start on him until at least a month later. By that point I had lost a dress size! So the robe for the most part is too big. I say most part as the sleeves were too small. My muscles from my stunt person days were still there and I forgot to include that into my patterning *slaps forehead* See even cosplayers who have been doing cosplay for 15 years can still mess up badly. Luckerly I know how to get the garment to fit due to being trained in talioring. The props were easier to build. But again there were still probs. I ran out of fibre glass harderner so the cuff plates weren't completed. The footwear ended up being not used as I had hurt my ankle (yes, I'm that prone at getting injuries). The colour gold I'm still not happy with so I might change that. Other than that I found the costume very confortable and fun to wear. I do plan to wear him again so I do want to get him 100% finished. I might also look into doing the manga version.

Just finished the 4th Collectormaina Manchester event here in Manchester UK. It was a great event. Quieter than previous ones but still an excellent event. Nice to put some faces to the names. Great to finally meet Papercutprefcet. Her Cloud was awesome. I so can't wait to add my Sephiroth to her cosplay. I'm now the resident cosplay judge and was treated to some excellent costumes for the costest. It was really difficult to pick winners as the quality was better than previous events. Especially on the Sat. Thanks to all those who have entered it made for a great show. All your efforts were fantastic and a joy to watch. Although I had some disartsters with my Abel Nightroad (sleeves not fitting round my muscles) I did manage to get him 90% finished. Quite a few peeps took pics and loved it. I did have a couple of requests to do the Crusnik version which I might look into. Pictures of the costume are in my gallery. Next event will be Collectormaina 13 at Milton Keynes. I hope it will be as good as the this one.

Finally got the fabric for Abel Nightroad (Trinity Blood) so will fianlly get to do some cosplay building. Its been a while do to the tough year last year. I hope to get Abel started this weekend while my brother is away. That is if my ribs calm down. I've factured two of them down one side. I've now completed watching Trinity Blood so I could get a feel for the character. At the mo I'm doing the human version. So all I'll have to be is shy, clumsy with a sweet tooth. Its me except for the clumsy part. I have great balance from my stunt fighting days. So I'll have to pretend to be clumsy with the use of invisable bricks.
Hi all. Just joined a cosplay webiste that is dedicated to Final Fantasy and Square Enix cosplay. It hopes to become an organised group webiste like some of star Wars ones out there. It hopes that it members will organise photo shoots and other activites. I hope to represent the UK at Amecon. Everyone is welcome to join.

Hey all.
Just completed my first offical tour of duty as a cosplay judge (thanks Emily for asking me). It made a an interesting chance as I would normally be entering rather than judging. I hope that I did my task well and that I can do it again in the furture.
I've finally booked for an anime event here in the UK. I've been wanting to go to an anime event for years but never had the oppotunity until this year. I've been an anime/manag fan since the 80's (yes, showing my age). So its about time I went to an event. Now to get my costumes up to par. Yeek!
