BOO! Anime North is over for another year and I'm really sad cause I met a lot of some awesome people. But I thought I give me review for the days that I was there.
-- Arriving - Friday -- :
We left on Friday at 10:30 am and got there around 12:30 pm ( due to a stop that we made. ) making it good timing. However we weren't allowed to check into the stupid hotel until 3:00pm , so we had Lunch at Kelseys and the Krax and I scooted to go get our Prereg passes as our driver and payment person waited to get into the room. We waited about a good Hour in line.. I never get way the pre-paid takes so much longer then the paid, but it does. We finally go there! Hurrah! We were there and the place was crawling with people.
We got into out room around two and unloaded all our stuff and tried to connect with the laptop. However, the wireless connection sucked ass and it kept booting us every like 5 mins at most, so it was really hard to stay in contact.
I took 15 minutes getting on my costume and make up and Krax took about two hours ._.; . This wasn't because the costume was difficult it was because on the day of the con we had wardrobe-malfunctions, no matter what we did. The costumes were made last year for this Year's convention and a week before the con we looked over them to make sure everything was okay and it was..Just things weren't agreeing with us this weekend.
Ling Tongs costume had a horrible horrible fall apart and My Xing Cai's flower got broken during travel uu;. So after about 2 and an half hours in the hotel room, we finally made it out. Until we hit the elevators...Yea...Those took awhile. Into the elevator we got some squeeing girls with our costumes and got stopped for some pictures right out of the hotel. We never made it too far without being stopped.
We had a photoshoot at 5 pm infront of the TCC but I think it was forgotten about as only Kuko-chan showed up with us. It was good to see her. She was being Xing Cai too and it looked awesome. When we finally rounded the convention center and got in without being stopped for pictures we go stopped again inside. It didn't stop @@ same went on in the dealers room and artist alley. Yey! Dynasty Warriors rules :3.
Anyways the Dealers room was horrible..Those tables were suppose to be 20 feet apart..Bullshit or it didn't look like it due the enormous crowds walking either which way. Its better if you go with traffic then against it. That was annoying. Oh and the people that stood in the middle of traffic to talk.
Lucky for me, the people I were there to meet found me instead of me finding them. I'd just be standing there and suddenly a person would be in front of me and I'd be like ' o.O' until they said there name. And then it was all okay.
After a while we went back ot the Hotel and changed. Can you guess who I was? xD Yes! Dressed down Zexi. And still recognizable as I glomped by alot of people..Out of no where...I don't mind, it was just so random. Then we went to dinner and headed out to the Double Tree. Where we got some picture with the white back drop and I had to stay there until the crowd forming of people were down taking pictures of my OOC Zexion.
We made our way back to the Radissons and rested before we took the long walk to the Renaissance Hotel. HOLY CRAP! 20 minutes walk in 3 1/2 inch heels was looooooooong AND there was nothing interesting there. So sad.
Afterwards at 1 am in the morning we returned to our room.

-- Saturday --
Got up at 12 pm, changed into Okuni and Krax had another malfunction in the Mistunari costume and my Okuni Bow wasn't the best. Didn't help since the Hotel room ate our thread and our velcro. We got that fixed and headed to a small lunch of a donut and a drink. Which was hard to enjoy with everyone stopping us for pictures. We weren't the costumes long and Krax went back to her normal clothes and I went into Zexion -- Bumbumbuuuum! Another malfunction! @#$%!? My drawstring broke off, so I went creative and tried to fix them the best that I could D: . It was horrid!
Sean called me just out of the room and we went and met up with her, her mom and her friend Mel for a bit. I was so happy but since time was getting on we wanted to spend some time in the Dealers room and then the Artist Alley for the last three hours. Though I would've made up with Sena later if we didn't have different plans..Which in the end was going to be abut the same since I did get into the Moonlight Ball but she couldn't make it uu;.
I saw Lindsay and Kumi found me in the Dealers Room, Yey more people to see again :. Oh and Our other Dynasty Warriors people found us too! Everyone was just finding us. Ew, while I was looking at some stuff from a dealer, there was a girl complaining that no one has taken her picture for the last two days..Like GOD who cares.
Between going to the Moonlight ball and the Dealers room closing, we ate and rested at the hotel and then went back for the Dance. It was actually good this year! I was so impressed! But it still had the utter smell of people not showering. -shudder- COME ON PEOPLE 3 DAY CON, TAKE A BAR OF SOAP AND STICK IT UNDER YOUR ARMPITS IF YOU CAN"T AFFORD DEODORANT! The hotel gives you free soap, SO USE IT!
GOD __< NO ONE CARES. This is why the stopped announcing it during the Dance because people complained that it was a waste of time.>
So that was Saturday Night, we got back to the Hotel at like 2:30am.

Aaaa..The day of needed sleep.
We got up at 10:30am because check out was at 12 and our ride was going to be here at 11:30. Didn't dress up. Just put on causal clothes and my Zexi wig. I love my Zexi wig. Then we went and waited like 20 Minutes in the Double for the Kingdom Hearts Photoshoot..Which was sadly a fail D: before going all the way back across the street to the TCC. We did some last Minute shopping and then left around 1 pm.
-- Overall --
Overall, I don't think Anime North was a big fail this year but I do think 2007 was alot better. We they went and did ( unorganizedly ) was put everything in the daytime and left nothing at night for people to enjoy uu;. They use to put it 50/50..but -sigh- Can't change it. Oh another thing was the Dealers didn't have much good deals on anymore..It use to be 3 Mangas for $25 and not they were chargeing $10 for each! and if you wer elucky you got only 1 for free D:.
The Artist alley was good, would've liked it better than the dealers room if I had room on my walls for prints. I wish they made more Zexion and Demyx stuff uu; I would've bought everything of them. I'm so tired of seeing Riku, Sora, Axel and Roxas. What about the other characters D: ?
Nevertheless, I enjoyed meeting the people I wanted to see, even if I will have to wait another year to enjoy another 3 day convention with them. So in the end, Anime North was neither good or bad..It was just Meh.
