AnimeFest had it's ups and downs, but I like to think that all-in-all it was a good convention, despite me and Zach fighting.
Friday
Me and Zach didn't hear the alarm clock and woke up at 10am, so he had to rush to his class and I had to get Ariana and Alexis to the kennel before 10:30am. After that I went to Wal-mart to get some last minute supplies, I got home and got into my Japanese-style school uniform and at about 1pm Zach came back and we were ready to leave. Except we forgot my PikePass and didn't realize it until after we were on the turnpike with no money, so we spent an extra hour getting back to Claremore and getting the PikePass. Pre-con stresss caused lots of fights on the way there, and yet we still somehow managed to make it to Weatherford to pick up Steven. After another wal-mart run for candy and mountain dew, and a stop at McDonalds for 21 $1 cheeseburgers we finally made our way to Dallas and got into our hotel. It was about midnight then, so no con stuff was going on, so we took showers and I rode the glass elevator up to the 28th floor and down again and mongled with the random people that entered.

Saturday
Steven was super excited and woke us up, even after setting the alarm ahead 10 minutes. Zach made me coffee and we went down before registration opened. We got cash from the ATM and showed Steven the Convention registration room, while me and Zach went to pick up our pre-registration badges. Since they didn't open until 9:30 the room was pretty much empty so they let us get our badges early and we went back in the room and got into our Resident Evil 4 cosplays(Zach as Leon Kennedy and me as Ada Wong). We hung around the con for awhile at once point decided to take an up elevator up and then down and ended up in the same elevator as Ami from cordeval.com(me and Zach are huge fans of hers) so that was awesome. At noon I went back to the room and changed into my Koharu Kusumi "Happy" costume for the cosplay contest rehersal that was at 1pm. After rehersal I rushed to the panel room to go to Ami's webcomic panel, which was full of lulz. During the introduction of the panelist when they said Ami I shouted "WHOO!" to which she responded with "I told you to stay in the car!".

Then things went downhill. We were attempting to go back to the room when I tripped on my 5-inch heeled boots and fell and had 3 huge security guards come up to me and tell me to "calm down" without even asking if I was hurt. And then me and Zach started fighting, cell phones were broken so I took my costume off and wasn't even going to mess with the cosplay contest.
Before the rave Taylor(a boy I met at A-kon) stopped by the room and we chatted for a bit.
Sunday
It was afternoon noon before I woke up on Sunday, but anyway, I got into my Mizuho Kazami teacher costume and me and Zach went and bought stuff in the dealers room, but first, we had to get the picture of Ami groping me that did not turn out on my dispoable camera at A-kon.
Victory! 
In the dealers room I got a set of little dolls and was given 2 interactive DVD games along with it. I also found a little jewelry stand with LOTS of nice pretty things for $1 each, so I got $13 worth of stuff. I also bought a Riza Hawkeye(Fullmetal Alchemist) keychain and me and Zach got some hentai computer games and were very excited to tell Steven that we bought porn.
We then sat by the waterfall in the lobby to wait for Kuragiman from cosplay.com who had taken a picture in me of my Mizuho costume at A-kon and contacted me about doing a private photoshoot at AnimeFest he showed up right on time and the photoshoot that was only going to be a half an hour long ended up being an hour long and it was so much fun! Zach, in his Kei Kusanagi school uniform, got to be included in the pics and an all-around good time was had by all.

Afterwards me and Zach got pizza and hung out into the room until I changed into a more comfortable Mizuho outfit and we decided to go to the United Fellas concert. It was my first concert and it was AWESOME! We ended up down in the front for the super-long encore and I even got to shake the hand of the lead guitarist. So so so so awesome!
And then at about 2am I was attempting to sleep Steven barged int othe room and said that he finally got us alcohol, but we were kinda having a party in the room. Mildly amusing, but I didn't hardly drink. I mixed beer and root beer and found out it taste good, only to have Zach flush it down the toilet.
Monday
Woke up at 11am, rush to get our stuff out of the room and checked out by noon. Said good-bye to some people and made the trip home.

And there you have it! The AnimeFest 2007 report! Next con will either be Oni-Con October 19th-21st(depending on finances and how I'm feeling since I have my wisdom teeth extraction surgery the morning of the 18th) or IzumiCon November 2nd-4th(I'm doing a Morning Musume panel there! And it's over my birthday on the 2nd :)
