Viewing 1 - 4 out of 4 Blogs.
Wow. I haven't written a blog here since May. FOr those who are wondering why I disappeared for some weeks is because I had no internet connections. But now they're up and running again. Anyway... The last convention that I went to was Wizard World Chicago 2008. It was a fun time and I want to go back in 2009. I met up with a lot of my friends and I even made some new ones while there. I was cosplaying as Marth and it was my 2nd time attending. All the rare stuff I bought...just what I was looking for. Lately, I've been thinking of my options...before I start school again, I want to work on either the new version of Marth for Fire Emblem DS, Ryu from Breath of Fire IV or MegaMan. These are ideas after playing some of these games recently and WAY before I got into cosplay. Other than the MegaMan helmet, things have been quiet. I'm a Youth Outreach worker and later on, I think I'll go to the batting cages and hit a few.
It feels great to be back in Chicago. Fanime was the coolest Summer convention that I've been to all year.
Me and my friend, Andy left for the airport on Friday and made it to the flight on time. The flight was good and I actualy enjoyed it even though I felt nervous for a majority of the way. We finaly arrived to San Jose and I was kind of suprised because I thought it would be hotter then expected. I then put on my Goemon cosplay and Andy put on his Ranma cosplay. We explored the convention center for a bit and we were suprised by how big the convention center was. I might actualy be at Acen by a nose. Their dealer's room had a lot of stuff to buy and I sure did buy a lot of games and such.
Saturday: I wore my Link cosplay and andy was Urahara. On that day, I got my sword delivered and we went to the bleach photoshoot. Being the oly Legend of Zelda cosplayer there, I joined in and had fun with the whole thing. I then went to the Zelda photoshoot and played my Ocarina with others. It was a fun time and I totally want to relive it all over again. Also, the Masquerade....Goood Freaking Christ!! The Masquerade hall was the size of a British Opera house. In other words, it was FUCKING GIHUGIC!!!!!!!!! It was my first time seeing a masquerade and I'm glad Fanime was the first time I saw one that wasn't on Youtube. (Andy hated the yaoi skits.)
Sunday: I cosplayed as Goku for that day and I met more cosplayers and reunited with some that I had already met at earlier times. It was a slow kind of day, but still fun. Me and Andy had a photoshoot with consplayers.com whch went really really well. Pikminlink's father remembered me from Acen 2006. After that, we went to dinner and slept early because we had to leave for the airport today.
Monday: We woke up at 3:30am California time, took the cab to the San Jose Airport and flew home. The flight was smoother regardless of the delay we faced when the plane's kickstarter wasn't working good.
Final word: For my first out-of-state convention, I have to admit that it felt like there was so much more to do. When I left for Chicago, I felt kind of sad that it was over already though it was a 4-day convention. Would I go back. OH YES I WOULD!!
Pictures will be uploaded on cosplay.com throughout the week.

I don't know what it is, but I feel the need to buy and read lots and lots of Manga. I'm also thinking back to when I watchd Konjiki no Gash Bell. It just came back to me and I want to watch the whole series again from start to finish (in Japanese of course). This was around the time when I first attended Anime Central, which was 3 years ago.
Because of the above, I've just suddenly begun to think back to when I first started understanding japanese katakana(thanks to Shaman King Funbari Spirits). I was already into anime and what have you. In late 2004, I read my 1st ever manga which was Naruto. I enjoyed it a lot and I HAD to find out what happened next. Then, come Anime Central, I have the time of my life, and at that same time, I start looking into what cosplay was. I quickly became interested and wanted to cosplay as Link. It was a lot of trouble in getting it together, but it was worth it.
These are just random thoughts that I've been having. It's just that as Anime Central draws near, it's been three years since I first attended. I think back to that point in time, just to realize how far I've come in this hobby.
I'm not gonna stop and I'll enjoy every moment of it.

Well. I must say that I'm pretty damn impressed with this website. I like it so far. Many of the people that I already know are here and the new faces that I have come across are really nice. I like that. I know I'm late in saying this, but I never really got the chance to.
I'm working on my Japanese homework right now so I might post less. HOWEVER, when I have the free time, I will be happy to post updates on my many cosplays. This includes possibly getting a Master Sword from Fiberglassblades.com. It will be worth it in the end.
