Speak to me in a language I can hear
Posted On 04/05/2008 04:16:07

Well i'm mainly writing this because I miss writing about and sharing wierd little musings with whomever wants to read them. Why I stopped writing things like this was due to people snooping on me(mainly my Dad but that's a whole nother story). Then I realized, this is the internet, what you put on here is all fair game and if you don't want everyone to access it, keep it off the internet.

Right now I think i'm getting sick, which I really hope i'm not cause I don't need a damn cold or sore throat. I probably will end up sick anyways since I work with the public and there's always some sick person coughing all over the place.

I'm also kind of frustrated with my dance production class. Why oh why do these people wait til the last minute to rush things? Granted this is the first time i'm joining the production, but it doesn't mean I don't understand what goes into putting on a preformance. This class started in January. We meet 2 days a week from 7p-930pm. You'd think by now, it being April and all, that the first routine we learned would have been done by mid march at the latest. We just got the ending and the beginning(why these instructors just give us the middle part of the routine first then the more important parts last is beyond me....is it really that hard to write a routine and teach it sequentially? No it isn't cause i've written routines and taught them and it isn't difficult)and its still really sloppy looking. A lot of the people in the class I get the feeling that they don't care if we waste class time, which infuriates me because you're not just wasting class time, you're wasting my time. I'm not saying you can't have fun, but seriously folks, quit screwing around and pay attention and learn the routine.

Also, i'm really annoyed that we even bother with adding some of the people in the hip hop class in some of the jazz dance routines. The people in hip hop don't give a flying f%&# to learn any other type of dance and it reflects in the way they act when being taught the routines they're in, the way they don't stick around when we run through the routines they're added in, and just the fact that they do not put in any effort. Just tell the damn teacher you don't have time to do that routine or that you don't want to instead of standing there slack-jawed and in my way for the routines. Not to sound like a bitch, but seriously, get the f%&# out the way cause when I accidentally hit you i'm not going to apologize because you can't pay attention and keep up with the routine.

Ok yeah dance isn't serious buisness, but when the show is in the beginning of May and its been taking a good chunk of my time that I could've used for many other things, and the fact that I haven't performed in a fairly long time and would like to feel good about the show and not embarrass myself in front of a bunch of people, it isn't so much to ask to utilize the class time properly.
