Fireworks happiness ^.^
Posted On: 07/04/2007 07:56:29

So last night Mike asked me to go to the fireworks with him. I hate fireworks (they're loud and hurt my eyes) but I nonetheless agreed to go, and it was so wonderful.

Some quotes of the evening:

Family friend of his: So why don't you two take a blanket, find a patch of grass, and think clean thoughts together?

Mike: What are you, Catholic?

This was especially funny considering that Mike and his WHOLE FAMILY are Wiccan. xD

*as the two of us are waiting for the show to start, the band is playing patriotic music*

Me: Hey. How come they're playing patriotic stuff?

Mike: Think hard, sweetie. Why do you think they're even HAVING fireworks?

And we found this awesome spot against the middle school to watch from, but then the cops made us move, so we had to leave right in the middle of the display. So we wandered a bit and finally found this quasi-secluded area by the woods. The view was perfect and I dozed. Yes...while watching fireworks. Oh yeah. xD

Like halfway through the show I woke up and we started having a conversation about how cool it would be if they could get the fireworks to look like the dark mark. And right then, I had a revelation. Charlie and Isadora would sit around and watch fireworks together. I'm Isadora! And I found my Charlie.

I was sooo happy.

He kissed me once, towards the end, and it was perfect. It was the Moulin Rouge! kiss I've been waiting for. ^_^

Afterwards I left to meet up with Will, Brian, and Steve, and the four of us walked to Will's place--horrible traffic and fireworks still going off and all. We ended up going through the most Silent Hill part of Stoughton, and I was still kind of floating, so I was pixie prancing around, hardly noticing the atmosphere xD

We got to Will's and I watched Brian and Steve play DoA for a bit, then Will showed me all his Castlevania remixes, and that was totally awesome ^.^

Later on Mike texted me with poetry-(yes, POETRY) and I was just like "AHH! You won my heart!! Have a cookie!"

And then I came home, declined watching the twilight zone marathon, and went to bed. xD

Sounds like you had a good night after all.

So does this mean you're officially being done with not liking fireworks?

lol! lovely night!

Thinking about fireworks...when I was very little I thought that the red and green lights were emeralds and other precious stones...I was scared about the noise but I loved to watch them! Once, I think I was 4 or 5, I was on the beach with my grandmother watching them and I asked her if in the early morning we could go to the beach to search for the color cristal that were fall from the sky!
