So I'm excited to say that I'll more than likely be attending Anime Expo 2008! Since I've only ever been to small cons, I'm sure this experience will be extremely overwhelming. And expensive. I'm booking my plane tickets this week.
As for costumes, it looks like I'll be bringing for sure:
Gokudera Hayato (Storm Battle outfit - Katekyo Hitman Reborn!)
I'm doing this one to go with a friend who's doing Belphegor. I've been planning to do lots of Gokudera's outfits anyway, so may as well scratch this one off the list ;3
Mudkip Gijinka (Pokemon)
I already did a Mudkip outfit based off this one for Anime Wasabi, now I just wanna update it to look more like this artwork.
Other tentative costumes are: 
Junpei Iori (Persona 3)
I've got the Protagonist planned for NDK in the fall, but if I can get the jacket done ahead of time, I'd love to do Junpei, since he's my favorite character :3
Holly Summers (No More Heroes)
much as I would LOVE to do this costume, I have a feeling it's not gonna happen, especially not for AX. It's really skimpy and challenging, so I'm not all that excited to wear it, but I LOVE the character. She was my favorite in NMH, and I just think she's too adorable not to give some cosplay love.
and that's that. I'm very excited to see my California friends, and I hope AX doesn't disappoint. Hope to see you guys there!

OH LAWD! Compared to past years, I'm a little more on top of things as far as costumes go, but I'm still totally stressed! My cosplays for the con have also changed since my first blog. I dropped Gurdy in favor of another game costume, which also ended up falling under, so instead I went and chose a simple second costume, Ritsuka.
~THE CHECKLIST (bumbumbumm!)
Aoyagi Ritsuka (LOVELESS):
- 80% done - all I have left is to make/attach the ears, and finish styling the wig.
Bridget (GUILTY GEAR XX):
- 75% done - still need to make bootcovers, trim the wig, finish cross design for headpiece, get someone to help me with yo-yo, and finish gloves. eek, it didn't seem like so much until I put it in list form like this....
So... yeah! POOP!
I also have a third project in the works, which I might have a "casual" version of for comfortable wear at the con (if you know me personally, you know what character I'm talking about, ehehe..).
For those who're goin', see you at Nan Desu Kan! This year should be very fun.

Cosspace?! It's like myspace, only without all the stupid blinking banners and porn popups and everything?! And for cosplayers?! I'm in, yo.
Since this is supposed to be a cosplay blog, or whatev, I thought I'd do a little post to keep track of what I'm workin' on (or rather, supposed to be working on). My sewing room is currently filled with a bunch of junk, because when my older sister came home from college, she dumped all her crap there. SO! I am very unproductive as of late.
These are my two main projects (For Nan Desu Kan 2007):

K-Kupo! Yeah, I guess "cute" is the theme this year. I don't have the skill level for most FFXII characters, and I've always wanted to do a moogle costume, so here I am, doin' that price-hiking chocobo sellin' kupopo, Gurdy.
Also, in other news, I'm in the process of getting a new computer, and when that happens, I'm going to be doing a massive update to my website. It will include both an art gallery and a cosplay section. (on that note, I'm also looking into buying some web space, hmmm..)
Anyway, I'll post again soon, hopefully with photos, or at least progress. Later!
