So yeah, the last time I wrote a blog was in December? Wow...that's because I never do this and I'm too busy doing school work. :( Anyways, so I thought I'd update and tell everyone (who ever reads this) what I've been up to these past months. So now I'm an Aunt! Which is awesome. Two of my older sisters had babies and that's all exciting. School has been so crazy I just wish it was over already. I need a break and I just got back form Spring Break. Man this year has gone by slow. However, I can't wait until next year so i can be in marching band all over again. Gotta love college marching band and football games. ^_^ Anyways, I just decided that I'm going to try out for leadership for the summer camps and also volunteer for the DCI show this summer. (If you don't know what a DCI show is...look it up ^_^) And I'm getting interviewed for a leadership position for the marching season. I hope I get a position that would be awesome! Okay, now on to anime stuff. So Just rescently finished my Ringo cosplay from Air Gear. I'm really hoping people know who I am since my costume is from the manga and not the anime. She has brown hair in the manga and pink in the anime and the costume I'm wearing she has straight hair instead of curly AND doesn't wear her glasses. SO I'M REALLY hoping people will know who I am still ^_^' More cosplay! So Wonderwice is kind of done. If I have the time or the effort I will fix his shoulder pad thingies, but don't really want to...heh. But that costume is basically done unless I want to make his sword which I plan on doing, at some point. Wonderwice is love! BTW he's from Bleach if you didn't know. ^_^ Obession!!!! So I got a new obession. Ouran is my all time favorite anime/manga. I'm a girl, what do you expect? ^_^ Its cute and everyting else. BUT another anime/manga is slowly creeping up to my number one favorite. It's called La Corda d' Oro. OMGosh! If you love classical music as much as I do you will love this anime! It's based off of a school that has a music school within it and there's a competition called Conours. There are seven students who are competing in it and I love them all! Very cute! And I love the fact that they have wind and brass instruments besides just strings. So yeah the anime/manga is actually based off a game. That I want but can't get....lol. Anyways, they perform to win or to have fun. There's a whole other backstory to it about finding love through music and letting everyone be happy through music. Love it! So now I want to cosplay from it since they do have my instrument in there (flute). However, the guy who plays is (yes a guy ^_^) is not my favorite and I wouldn't want to cosplay him. I would love to cosplay the trumpet player. Very funny and definitely my favorite character on the show. ^^ But I still have to finish the series (half-way through right now). Maybe I'll just be a music school student but that's never fun when you're not a character that no one knows about. hmmm...got to think this over and listen to the amazing soundtrack that it has. Oh yes, all the music is classical. They have Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, etc. (kudus if you know who they all are) Well that's all I wanted to share. Now to go to bed . ^_^

I don't know if anyone cares, but I had some photoshoots recently. They were fun! Did them right in my dorm room with white sheets! It was a lot of fun! Anyways, Tamaki from Ouran is a new one for me. I also took some pictures as Aido, Zero, Seiren, and Yuuki all from Vampire Knight. I uploaded some here, but all of them can be seen on my cosplay.com account. (username: nikineko)
So a few days ago, in Nebraska we were supposed to be hit by this HUGE ice storm...all we got was cold weather and rain! NOTHING ELSE! Everyone around my city got snow and ice, but we didn't! Okay I'm a Nebraskan...from Lincoln and well when we have severe weather we tend to like watching the storms and stuff like that. It's fun okay...anyways, everyone was prepared for the snow storm that was supposed to hit us but it didn't. And they even cancelled the Holiday Parade that we have every year because the officials thought it was going to be too icy. Grrrr...I wish it was snow a little more than less than an inch here.
That's all I got. Have a good night!

Alright to Nebraskon happened last weekend. It was amazing! I'm sure most of you guys have probably never heard of it since it was only the fourth one and there was almost 900 people. It's small, but I love working with it since it's right where I live!
Okay so the con. Opening Ceremonies was awesome. There were two parts to it. The first was a preview of the Awesome Rangers second movie (which is awesome by the way) I was a part of that. If you saw it, I was the pink ranger. ^_^ After that was the con's do's and don'ts. Our Ouran group performed that. We had an opening video (which I'll upload here soon for you all to see) then we performed a skit along with it. That was fun and everyone who watched really enjoyed it.
So for the rest of the con...My sister and I had a panel which I think people enjoyed since we conducted a posing workshop that people were able to get up a pose instead of just sitting there listening. Then there was the TEA PARTY!!!!!
We had an Ouran tea party. Our group consisted of ten people we had a gorgeous victorian room that we would host people in. We had snacks, tea, and music. Okay so we all thought there was going to be like 30-40 fans coming in and eating then leaving. Boy were we so WRONG!!! There was probably about 100 people who came to the party! OMFGOSH!!! We didn't have enough room for everyone and had to take over another room, but people were still coming and soon we had to shoo people away. Everyone felt really bad that they had to be shooed. Oh, we actually did HOST people. We talked with them, being one of the twins...we had some 'twincest' going on. We also played red light green light, Simon says, and did some waltz dancing. So much fun! Everyone in our group plus the con-goers and con-ops people are all hoping to have one next year too!
After the tea party, the whole Ouran group had to run to the next event. We were all in the Cosplay chess game. It was awesome. But horribly said when the Host club members began dying. Haruhi died first! And the Fluffly Bun Bun team lost to the Doomy Demon Squad. At least we got to fight with our roses!!!
So after that I was part of the concert we had. We performed a lot of anime music. Very goregous music. My favorite had to be our clarient trio playing Kingdom's Hearts Medley. After that was the cosplay contest. For those who watched they know about "That Skit" The most horrible skit known to mankind was performed there. That's all I say about that. However, most of the other skits were pretty good. Our Ouran skit was last! And we totally dominated the whole show! Ouran Hearts was amazing! Everyone enjoyed it. Oh did I forget to mention that we were the winners!!! Yep, we won the contest! It was awesome. One of my friends she has the video up on youtube. Which I'm hoping to maybe get her permission to upload it here. I'm hoping that Ouran fans...and others will enjoy seeing it.
Well this is all I have for now. I actually have to go to class now. Stupid college...at least Thanksgiving break starts tomorrow! I'll have to write more later. Enjoy your day!!!

Okay so in less than 3 days is the Nebraskon convention! The last time I wrote, I was writing about the Host Club filming, well that's done and the video has been made! I like it and when the convention is over I'll upload the video here. Also we're done with skit preparation. Ouran Hearts is a go! I'm excited to perform it and I'm hoping people will enjoy it with our 10 member cast of Ouran Host Club members. ^_^
So, at the con there's going to be an Ouran Tea Party! In which obviously our group is going to sponsor. I'm hoping that will go off without a hitch too. We're serving tea and Hostess snacks (get it?) hehehe. Anyways, that's all been prepared for so I can't wait to host people. We're even gong to do some waltz dacing for people who're not shy to dance.
Fillers committee...people reading this are proabably like, "What the heck is that?" or not. The fillers committee is a new committee for Nebraskon. It's job is basically what the title says. We fill for time when panels or events are running late. WE have a series of skits that have been made up and dances for people to enjoy. Hopefully they'll enjoy them.
So that's all I have to say right now. I'll get a full review of my experience of Nebraskon after this weekend!!!

Okay so yesterday our Ouran group got together to film our video for the opening ceremonies for Nebraskon. It was a lot of fun. At first we didn't think we would be able to record it since we didn't have everyone and not everyone had their costumes done, but it all worked out. ^_^ So it took most of the day and we got to play Red light, Green light and kick the can with Kassanoda. That was a lot of fun too! Now we're just hoping to get it all edited for the con in 4 weeks! But it shouldn't take that long and when we get the video done I'll post it up along with all of the bloopers and extras that we'll be showing at the Ouran Tea Party during the con. If you don't know what I'm talking about it's a video that we have to make that shows the rules of the con. Basically that's it, but it's in a fun way so people will laugh...I hope.
Another thing, today another group (I'm part of like 5 groups for cosplays) of us went out to one of the cemeteries and took some Death Note photos. I was glad to take some photos. I haven't taken any since Anime Iowa. I hope to uploas some here and the rest will be on my cosplay.com page. Well that's all I wanted to say. Have a good rest of the day!

Okay so yeah...Just got a finalized program for how opening ceremonies is going to be like for Nebraskon. Our Ouran group will be preforming the opening ceremonies along with Awesome Rangers (If you know who they are, you are awesome and you might even know me in real life and not just in cosplay!) So for opening ceremonies we're hoping to pull off some kind of 'boot camp' video showing the host club getting ready to host Nebraskon con-goers. Then have a skit that's based on what to do and what not to do. We have some good ideas, but we're stuck on how to explain descent exposure and weapons without actually showing them.
I would write more about this, but I have class to go to! College is calling! ^_^ I'll have to update everyone about when we get the opening video done, then I'll upload it here for everyone to see!

So yeah, I think I wrote in my last blog about stuff about marching band, well this one is going to about it too, except about football fans and the marching band. Okay so we took our full (290 member) band to Missouri for the game yesterday. Don't get me started on the game. It was the most horrible game I have ever watched Nebraska play in. They need to fire Cosgrove!!!!
Anyways, we were warned about how the Missouri fans are not very nice. Meaning they are the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of nice. Pure negative comments. Instead of cheering for their team, they boo the opposite. At first when I heard that I was like, "It probably won't be that bad." Oh man I was wrong!
So we get to the game and we have to march to the stadium which was actually really far. We had to go through all of the tailgating (totally spelled that wrong) of the Missouri fans. All we heard was offensive langauge. Tell us to go home, that our team sucks, and so on...with LOTS of profanity. What really makes me made is that there were 10 and 11 year olds yelling the same thing as the drunks were! That's compeletly wrong!!!
At one point they have an MC who was making fun of the band because we weren't playing any music. Uh...hello, it's a march into the stadium...we don't do parade music. It's kind of common sense. Instead we play drum cadences and dance to the music. If you've ever seen the Cornhusker marching band dance while marching, well you know that it's extremely entertaining and almost everyone joins in on the fun (except Mizzou fans).
So we have this policy and it goes for mostly every marching band. ABSOULTELY NO ONE goes through the band! It's a safety percaution for everyone. We don't want drunk people spilling drinks for food on us and we don't want to hit fans with instruments since they kind of get in the way. ALSO, we do this so we can get in our spots (the stands where we sit) the fastest so we're ready for the game and so people can easily get to their spots after we're done. Well, obviously the Mizzou fans couldn't comprehend that, and well let's just say, I as well as some others were almost shoved down a few flights of stadium stairs. You don't realize how scary that is until it happens to you. Seriously if there was anymore shoving, I bet someone could have gotten a broken neck or even worse!
So now for more bashing on Mizzou fans... besides the constant yelling at us for...just standing there and being in their presence, they have the decency to throw their trash and whatever was in their hands at us. I mean come on! Are you guys a bunch of 5 year olds with temper tantrums?!? We had beer cans, gatorade, jewerly, trash, and food thrown at us. What great fans Missouri fans are.
I am truly sorry for the people who live there that are nice, but after that, I've completely lost all respect for them. At least we had two Missouri fans say that they were glad we came. One even apologized for their fans for being so rude. I hope no one has to ever go through that again. We had security helping us...but not really, they were more likely to help the Missouri fans, than try to help us. Which was really surprising. I think the only people who helped us were the event staff (and that was probably about five people), and our own staff.
Well I'm done ranting about how horrible Missouri fans. Have a good night everyone!
So yeah haven't written one of these for awhile. Been busy with school, but mostly with marching band. We had one week shows since the beginning of the school year. Meaning, we learn a new half-time show every week for each football game. BUT what I wanted to tell you was that we got on the news! Finally, okay so we were in the newspaper no more than two weeks ago, but we're in it again. This time with a video report. Check it out guys!!! If your a marching band lover, music lover, or even a football fan I think you'll enjoy this! Just look at the Related Media. You don't have to read the article.

You'll now understand how hard college marching bands work! X_x Six hours before a game starts and about two hours after a game ends. It's crazy but I love it! Well that's all I really have to say.
I'm hoping soon to start on new cosplays. Wonderwice and Ringo are a go and I'm hoping to make an Eyeshield 21 cosplay as well, but for now I'm trying to decide on which character I'd cosplay as.
Okay so on Saturday (if any of you follow College football) is going to be like the biggest game of the year for Nebraska. We're going to playing against USC (who are ranked number 1 in the nation and we're 16) So no one really cares who's actually going to win...kind of. Mostly we hope that we won't be killed. x_x
Okay, so because it's a big game it's going to be on TV!!! Yay TV games are fun! Except for the pausing of the game because of commericals. But ESPN is going to be there and we get to perform an exhibition for them (marching band I'm talking about here) So yay! I get to be on live ESPN this Saturday morning! Can't wait. I love getting on TV! It's fun especially when people are like, "Dude were you on TV?" and I'm like, "Yeah I was," and there like, "Oh my gosh! I think I saw you!" ^_^
Did you know that Keanu Reeves, Will Ferral, and Larry the Cable Guy are going to be there? Now you know! That would be so awesome to meet them!
Anyways, the half-time show is going to be awesome! We're preforming James Bond. 2 days until Game Day!!!
