I was going to my first (real) con (Anime Oasis), and I really wanted to wear a costume that was a little more eye catching. One day, I was watching my Zelda no Video, and decided that Princess Zelda from Zelda II would be a very fun cosplay, not to mention rare. So I designed this costume according to her pixelated image from the end of the game, adding some things here and there to make her look less plain, and to give her more of a "Zelda" look.
My Favorite Aspect:
The dress itself. I love love love the design. And I really enjoyed sewing it. Even the gold trim, as time consuming as it was, was enjoyable for me. ^ ^ It was also my first time doing a cowl neckline.
Least Favorite Part:
I love everything about this costume. :D
Easiest Part:
The armcuffs. I just went out and bought some over-sized bracelets that looked Zelda-ish and spray painted them gold. I think they turned out very nice, considering it took me like 5 - 10 minutes.
Hardest Part:
The triforce banner. At first, I was going to hand-embroider the designs, then I realized that that was going to look like crap, so then I decided to do iron-on tranfers instead. Which proved to be much easier, and looked way better. ^ ^
