I was playing in Party City with my friend Masato and we came across the *new* Rainbow Brite costume. I thought it was cute, but watered-down, skanky, and horribly inaccurate. Rainbow Brite was the first cartoon character I ever really looked up to. She was my hero. ♥ ♥ Her costume is more complicated than most think, and I felt like doing it justice. ^ ^ So I made this costume for Halloween.
My Favorite Aspect:
The boots for sure. They just turned out so good! And they're so comfortable you couldn't even imagine.
Least Favorite Part:
This is one of the best costumes I've made. There's not a single aspect that I would change.
Easiest Part:
The color belt. Made it out of craft foam. I was going for 80's cheesy and it really worked out well. ^ ^
Hardest Part:
The stripes on the sleeves and boots. I had to hand sew them.
