Poll Results
Posted On 07/01/2008 05:49:43
I have created a blog asking everyone's opinion about who I should cosplay next. Only problem is that I don't know how to see the results without actually taking the poll myself. Does anyone know how to get to the results of a poll?

Val's 'views: The GazettE, Guren
Posted On 06/20/2008 06:46:49

Album: Guren by The GazettE

Song One: GUREN ( 紅蓮 )

This is definitly the slowest song on the CD of three songs. But that doesn't mean that the song is bad. It is a very emotionally complex song that has variations in the highs and lows of the song that comes to a climax with a well placed guitar solo that is near the end of the song. Now I don't understand any Japanese except for here and there words but the vocalist's emotion would indicate that this is supposed to be a more sad song. Definitly not a song I would recommend for the hard core rock fans but one that I would recommend for anyone else. Song Grade: A

Song Two: KUGUTSU-E ( 傀儡絵 )

This song starts out slow for the first 30 seconds or so but that changes very VERY quickly. This is definitly a "headbangers" qualified song. With the melodic singing, metal-like "screams" (I prefer the term "roar"), and almost child-like "nyah-nyah" sounding singing. It is also accompanied with some lovely female voices that are most prevelant near the end of the song. I would defintily recommend this song to people who enjoy their rock 'n' roll fast and furious. Song grade: A-

Song Three: KYOMU NO OWARI HAKOZUME NO MOKUJI ( 虚無の終わり 箱詰めの黙示 )

Tambourines! Okay I had to get that out of my system. It is true that there are tambourines in this song but they are ditched soon after the vocalist's first sexual moan. In fact the entirety of this song sounds vaguely sexual all the way through. In fact the whole song is great really. The guitars as usual are very wonderful in the song and provide at least half of the entertainment of the song. This song I can recommend to just about anyone (except the "I don't understand it so I don't like it" Nazi's) Song grade A

So the whole album got a combined average grade of an A. What does that mean to you? It means that you should give it a listening to and who nows you might enjoy it enough to pay CD Japan the $35 it costs to buy it and ship it to your house. But if you don't buy the album try to download it through Itunes or a similar pay to download site. You wouldn't want someone stealing your work would you?
