VIDEO DETAILS
This AMV is dedicated to all my loyal friends, subscribers, and viewers on YouTube. I'd probably still make AMVS even if people didn't like them, but they make the hours spent slaving over them worthwhile.
This is also in celebration of the 1 year anniversary of my first amv ever (Call 'n' Return), which I posted April 28, 2007. Man, this year went by so fast!
Well....it's been bugging me for 11 months (since I made the original), and I've been talking about doing it for about half that amount of time...and I finally did!
TA-DA!!!!!!! The Great Escape, my most popular AMV with nearly 35,000 views (as of now), re-done (and re-touched) without subtitles! ^_^
I remembered when I first finished this AMV almost a year ago, I told my then roommates that it was by far the best (well, it was only my 2nd at the time) one I had--and probably ever will--made. And then, as the months passed, I looked back and wondered if my making this was just a fluke. Well, I guess it's not, coz I've made it twice! ^_^
I tried to be as true to the original as I could--there are actually four clips that are taken from the original AMV itself--can you tell which ones?--(they didn't have subtitles on them and I was too lazy to try and re-create them). :P I also fixed a few timing issues.
HowEVER, for those of you who have seen the original, you'll find (and most pleasantly so, I hope) that I have made some minor changes. Remember those 5 seconds at the 58 second mark that bothered me so much? FIXED! I've also added some new clips in places that I've never really been happy with in the original. And...well, just watch the instrumental break and you'll see. :P
I've been putting off doing this for so long because I have so many new amvs that I want to make, so they've always taken precedence. But I'm entering into the Anime Expo AMV Contest (come and say hi if you're going!) so I don't want to enter anything with subs. And this actually ended up not taking that long, only, like, 4-5 hours.
As per tradition: Enjoy! ^_^
P.S. All of my amvs are available online for download for both ipod and quicktime at this website:

(*Savefile deletes file after certain periods of inactivity, so if an amv you're looking for isn't there, that's probably why. Just contact me and I'll put it back up.)
P.P.S. DO NOT ask me what song I used--it's listed not only in the title of the AMV but in the credits. EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE AMV is listed in the credits. READ THEM. I won't answer anymore questions that can be answered by sparing 20 seconds to read the credits.
NOTE: I do not own Ouran High School Host Club, nor do I own the songs used in this amv; they belong to their respective artists and animation companies. This is a purely fanmade amv.
